Course Curriculum Overview :
The course has the pure and applied mathematics in its syllabi enabling the students to excel in both pure and applied mathematics. The course structure is unique in its kind and is so modern and is up to the date
Internships Opportunities :
i am in my 1st year hence not eleigible for internships but mostly the students work under the faculties on many research projects and open problems. students also get quite good stipend as well for their work.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are quite good because more companies visit and students are less hence students get to choose between the offers they receive . according to the last year placements the highest package was 89 LPA , average was 20-25 LPA and the Median of Top 10 offers being bove 30 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the yearly fees of the program is 102500 per semester or 205000 per year . Fee waiver is available for students with parental income lower than 5 lakhs . for less than 1 lakh full tuition fees is waived and for 1-5 lakhs 66.67% tuition fees is waived.
Campus Life :
The campus is lush green. it also has 2 canteens one is government and other one is private ,both having foods at quite affordable rates. the library has more than 50000 maths books and 25000 statistics books . fiction and story books are also available
Admission :
i chose this college due to the reputation of the college and the lesser number of students in the course. to get into the college one needs to give an objective mathematics test namely ISI admission test . the cutoff is almost 50% every year of the total marks due to hardness of the paper.
Faculty :
the faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:10. this enhances the teacher-student interaction to much extent . smmaller batch sizes also increase the attention per each student. I liked professor antar bandhyopadhyay for his in-depth teaching methods exams are typcally 4-5 in a course with mide semester and end semester having highest weightage
