Remarks :

Placements and small batch size.Small batch means You get good opportunities in various MNC.For MTech students IIT Madras allows official Internship at companies in summer. So I did got a chance to do summer internship at Qualcomm, than after completing my 3 months Internship I got pre placement offer

Course Curriculum Overview :

Quality is amazing. IIT Madras is the leader in 5 G Communication. In India IIT Madras is leading the 5G test bed. All professors are well Qualified and done their PhD from USA(Most of them). My guide Prof. Srikrishna Bhasyam did his bachelor's from IIT Madras in EE and than did his MS and PhD from USA and after that he worked as Senior Engineer at Qualcomm San Diego. So like my Guide most of the Professor in EE and CSE department are very well Qualified.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I got summer internship at Qualcomm in wireless r&d. As a Firmware Engineer I got to work on Qualcomm Snapdragon basic block Q6 processor. Where I have to implement FFT module. I have to write C intrinsics code. Which I wrote and based on my performance I received a pre placement offer from Qualcomm. My mentor was very knowledgeable and humble. He helped me a lot during my internship.

Placement Experience :

Placements are awesome in EE and CSE department. Most of the students in these two branches gets placed in intial two days of the placement season. And on an average EE students gets approximately 20 lacs in MTech ( If only SPCOM is considered than my batch average was 25 lacs --> 15 students in SPCOM) VLSI students average was 21 lacs ( Total 25 students are there in VLSI and ICS ) rest are lower branch students but they also bagged around 15 to 20 lacs). Almost 90% students in EE and CSE department gets the job.

Campus Life :

Campus Life was awesome. We have food courts, north Indian and south Indian Mess. Approximately 8 messes are there and everymonth You are given a chance to choose Your mess. There are two Juice bar which opens from morning 10 AM to 2 AM in night.We have a very good cultural fest SARANG in my time Shankar Mahadevan came. So many fun activities are organised. So many tech event used to happen almost daily. You have so many things to do. You can read my campus life answer over Quora. Were I discribed with pictures.

Hostel Facilities :

I was living in Hostel. In my entrie course I lived in Brahmaputra hostel and Pampa hostel. It's the best place where You make lots of memories and lots of wonderful friends. We used to have hostel night every 2 months

The placements are so good after first semester based on the CGPA the companies will start recruiting in second semester. The highest package is 36LPA(including all benefits from company) and the average package is around 13 LPA. Why you should prefer IIT Madras over other IIT's for Mtech/Btech (CSE).

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cirriculum is perfect , machine learning is specialised here , course like Deep learning , PRML , linear algebra , AI offered here are best. Grade distribution is also fine here not as such burder , they give assignments and quizes.

I am pursuing ME computer science and engineering course from AVCE.It is a two-year duration course with 4 specializations. Candidates who have completed BE or B.Tech in relevant discipline are eligible to join ME course. Admission to ME program is given on the basis of GATE/ TANCET scores. I got selected on the basis of my GATE score.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very nice. They often organise on-campus placement drives. Companies like grassroots,intelenet, Revol Softwares, Aqua groups, IDBI etc visit the campus with good job opportunities.

IICPT review for MTech Course

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of IIFPT Post Graduate Entrance Examination. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the entrance exam scores and overall academic performance of the student. I always wanted to join the institute for a bachelor’s, but opting for the Food Tech trade was a last minute decision.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college is pretty decent. Many companies visited our campus this year compared to the previous batch. But still there is a lot of scope for improvement. The average salary package offered is around 3-4 LPA. There is a placement cell which deals with all the placement activities. Students have to search for internships on their own.

Entrance Preview:

I took JEE, I got the rank 2439. I opted for this particular because It was largest and has good name in industry. Also it was close to home and food was to my liking. I found out about food by Alumni.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are very good centrally meaning consultancy, analytics, business etc, while in my department it could be better. General electrics, and core recruiters Hi-fi companies comes once in 2-3 years due to student leaving the companies after a few months for an entrepreneurship or startup. Highlight in Core recruitment: While Rolls-Royce was opened for M. Tech. Students in our department.
