Remarks :

Nothing negative as such. But on thr positive front,it's a great Institute with a heritage of over 100 years and I consider myself lucky to be a part of this Institute to serve humanity in a better manner.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is vast to say the least. It comprises of 19 subjects spread throughout the course of 5.5 years including 1 year of internship. The exams happen once a year and are called as Professional examination. They are based on both the theoretical and the practical knowledge that we have gained throughout the year.

Placement Experience :

Well.for a doctor we all know what job oppurtunities are there. And Yes,my college provided paid internship for a period of 1 year with a stipend of roughly ?25,000/-.During the period of internship, we have to serve different departments for a stipulated period of few months and to say the least.it's really hectic.

College Events :

There are plenty of events that happen round the year in our college. To begin with we have our annual cultural fest called "Lobelia" to the sporadic clinical educational programs. Then,we also have quarterly quizzes and all.and once a year we have a freshers party as well as a film festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is feasible and since it's a government Institute. so yes.it's well within the reach of a normal citizen. It's nearly 11,000 a year including two semester and the annual examination fee.The only cost that's additional is that of books.which actually adds up to 10000 a year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't know of anything as such. But there are some private institutions that sponsor the needy and students from economically backward class. But there's no government sponsordhip ot loan facility available yet.

Campus Life :

Yes they are pretty good here.We have separate club for each one of them starting from a sports club to an acting club to a debate club to everything that you can possibly think of.Annually we have our cultural fest and these clubs put together provide the participants with diverse arenas to participate in.

Alumni/Alumna :

There's an alumni network in our college which has been there since the dawn of time I believe. It includes eminent medical professionals from their time to budding doctors coming up now. It's a great area for getting in touch with your seniors, juniors and everyone that you can think of.It's really a helpful network of people.

Admission :

By giving an entrance exam called NEET. You get a rank based on your performance. Thereafter there's a counselling process and you get allotted the college based on your rank. After that, you are supposed to take admission in that allotted college.

Faculty :

Since this is a medical college thus I consider myself lucky to be a part of this institution. But yeah like everywhere there's always a scope for improvement be it from sanitation to staff management to patient management. There's a lot to be done.

After passing the final year exam, we have to do internship in same medical college for 12 months in different departments. After completion of internship we have to do 1 year house stuff either in the same college or any other college where the authority will assign us. Every student have to do housestuff for 1 year, if any want to discontinue it then he/she have to give 5 lakh + gst as penalty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This mbbs course is NMC based. In 2019 the curriculum got updated, which included more clinical knowledge. To become a good doctor NMC has made a good curriculum, the more we get clinical exposure the more we become good doctors. Our faculty members are too good and cooperating, they teach all aspects so well. Our MBBS curriculum is of 5.5years, which includes 4.5years of study and 1 year of compulsory rotatory Internship. Every month they conduct a semester exam and at the end of the season, they conduct a University exam.

The qualification of every faculty member is very good and teaching methods now improve with technology. After completing the unit take part completion exam and semester exam every end of the semester. The difficulty level is too high to pass the exam

We have to do an internship at the hospital for 6 months. After that, you are eligible to join any hospital, private practice or prepare for post-graduation. 100% of students get placement. I will be preparing for NEET PG.
