Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum was excellent in many perspectives but the curriculum I studied was a bit off considering new technologies and tools being used by engineers. Recently, They have updated the curriculum according to the need of time. Faculties are also good here relative to other colleges. Facilities like lab and equipment you will get here are great if you want to utilise them for your better understanding of technologies.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, I got an internship opportunity at Walmart Labs for SDE role. After the second year, lots of companies come in our college to offer internships in various fields like SDE, Data science/AI/ML, digital Electronics, core engineering etc. for summer(2 Month). There are ample opportunites of internship in my course.

Placement Experience :

The placements here are great. During our seventh semester, Our placements season starts and companies come to our campus to offer jobs in all technical and no technical sectors consisting of computer science, data science, AI/ML, electronics, Product Management, business analyst, Marketing, Finance etc. Percentage of placements varies across branches but on average 90% percent people get placed on campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The semester tuition fees is 1Lakh which is higher than average. But you can easily get scholarships based on your financial situation. you can also easily get Loan from banks assuring about your placement after 4 years. Campus placements are great.

Campus Life :

Campus life here is amazing. Campus itself is so beautiful consisting of multiple natural lakes and hills inside the campus. Lush green campus throughout the year and amazing weather is a cherry on top. You get an opportunity to connect with a lot of different people good different set of skills. Club culture is also amazing here, you can find club for almost everything from technical to cultural, from Aeromodelling to Drama. You can find all sport facilities as well. A full fledged gym is also here. Our student community also organises many fests throughout the year consisting our Cultural fest - Alcheringa, Tech fest - Techniche and a e-submit - Udgam. Admission :

No GD or PI. You are supposed give two written tests, first one is JEE Mains. After qualifying JEE Mains, You have to score a good rank in JEE Advanced. Based on your ranking in JEE Advanced, You get to sit for Jossa counselling for IIT/NIT colleges.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Remarks:

Tezpur university is a central university, and every year in the university ranking report of overall india it performing the top and in the all asian region aswell. The campus is also really beautiful and as my nearer to the hometown i found this is the best for me. The teaching stuff is also good and after the completion of this we get the job aswell. Placement opportunity a lot from the course for government job aswell as private sectors. Remarks:

College management is good and really helpful the mess food is not so good also that canteen in our college is so pathetic. the infrastructure of the college is really good and the teaching is also really good placement is patient or college need to work more on skill building of the weak students.

Admission:

For BTech we have to give JEE mains exams so according to ranks there will be admission in this college. There is no management quota or any other mode of admission in the BTech for MTech or PhD there is direct interview based admission. First we have to give the exam for JEE mains then we have to sit in the counselling for getting the seat in the college.
