Entrance Preview :

GATE my score was 745. I opt for this college because it was the best college i ever dreamt of in by b tech also the course that i wanted was only in this college. One more thing was its location not very far from my home.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Very good especially electives gives a chance to select better subjects and also interdepartmental subjects. Course structure is too good and proper knowledge of subject matters are provided with a detailed course syllabus which is also helpful in placements as well as for gaining proper knowledge of subjects.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes,but i have not done any such internship so i dont have any knowledge about the stipend and overall experience.

Placement Experience :

Placement status is declining day by day though the overall placement status is better than most of the colleges. Companies like nestle, tetrapack, mother dairy always come for placement and packages lie between 6 to 9 lpa.

College Events :

So many events like spring fest with so many events in singing ,dancong snd a lot more events in spring fest which makes it asia best event.apart from this kshitij event carries a lot more fun .The department event prakriti is too good and student have large gathering and participation in these events which helps in overall growth of student.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. For m tech fee is very less only 37000 for 6 months including mess and accomodation. Compared to other iit the condition of kharagpur is also very good .place is semi urban so very less expensive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

GATE scholarship provided by MHRD. Student loans are easily available for students. During b tech degree i got NTS(national talent scholarship) by ICAR.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is good.most of the seniors are in contact with an alumni group for department. There is proper interaction with seniors and also events like alumni meet occurs every year which helps to provide proper contact with seniors.

Exam Structure :

Good but a very hectic schedule even in one day two exam falls sometimes. So many exams like midterm, class test,and surprise tests in class and end term exam.syllabus of exam is according to teaching whatever taught in class is asked but the course content is so much that it is mote than enough for exam point of view.

Faculty :

Faculties are very good. They are very supportive and they have best knowledge of their subject matter. The bedt thing about them is that they are very enthusiastic and always hope and do for the bettterment of their students.the project guides are very helpful also they provide all requirements as per research work.

From your superset account you can apply for job and internships in different comapnies. there are more than 20 companies visited for placement this year. arround 80 percent students from my department were placed last year.

Placement Experience:

For master's, campus placement is less compared to bachelor's courses, Company visited less in numbers, but still, 30 - 40 percent of students get placed, some went for Ph.D. in IIT, and some got placed off campus. On-campus placement average package is around 4 lacs.

Remarks:

Before joining Mtech in Computer Science and Data Processing (Mathematics department) in IIT Kharagpur I completed M.Sc in Mathematics from IIT Madras. At that time wanted to go for industry jobs so I decided to pursue M.Tech course related to computer science. Specifically, I am interested in Machine learning and statistical data analysis. That time I had two options either IIT Madras (Mtech in Industrial mathematics and scientific computing) or IIT Kharagpur (Mtech in CSDP). I preferred IIT Kgp and joined it.

Entrance Preview:

I take WBJEE entrance exam for entrance in BE and gate for ME. I score 107 in WBJEE and 2047 in GATE . Jadavpur university(ju)is best institution in west bengal.

Placement Experience:

In JU placements was almost 100% in BE course on my electronics & telecom department 55 were placed out of 58. And some of them got 3 jobs in hand,some of them got 2 jobs.and in ME 17 are placed out of 23.companies are tcs, cts, ibm, infosys, ericsson, adobe, ibm r&d, wipro, capgemini etc.
