Remarks :

Its not only campus for the students its life. Its awesome experience to stay in this campus.

Entrance Preview :

I had given Gate 2011. Score was 93 percentile. It was my dream to join this institution sine my Bachelors.

Internships Opportunities :

The 1 year full project helped a lot to develop our selves. We had jointly worked with Tata steel jointly on the project.

Placement Experience :

Many top ranked company came to our university. Almost 90 percent of Bachelors and Masters were placed from campus recruitment.

College Events :

As there were many departments each department celebrate their fest in unique way. Technical cultural and management festivals is arranged in university throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Its very feasible. As its under government the fee structure is less than other institutes. Many scholarship programs are also there. So its very much affordable and feasible.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Many scholarship programs are also there.

Hostel Facilities :

I cant write much more about hostel facilities as i didn't stay at hostel. But as far as i have communicated with my friends who stayed in hostel they were satisfied by the facilities provided by university.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Exam Structure :

Exam structure is good.Its purely knowledge based exam. Conceptual questions comes more rather than memory based questions.

Faculty :

They are very much helping. They guided us in proper way. We had jointly worked with Tata steel jointly on the project. The opportunity was arranged by our faculties.

Life of an M.tech student in IIEST

From your superset account you can apply for job and internships in different comapnies. there are more than 20 companies visited for placement this year. arround 80 percent students from my department were placed last year.

College with heart at right place.

Placement Experience:

For master's, campus placement is less compared to bachelor's courses, Company visited less in numbers, but still, 30 - 40 percent of students get placed, some went for Ph.D. in IIT, and some got placed off campus. On-campus placement average package is around 4 lacs.

Remarks:

Before joining Mtech in Computer Science and Data Processing (Mathematics department) in IIT Kharagpur I completed M.Sc in Mathematics from IIT Madras. At that time wanted to go for industry jobs so I decided to pursue M.Tech course related to computer science. Specifically, I am interested in Machine learning and statistical data analysis. That time I had two options either IIT Madras (Mtech in Industrial mathematics and scientific computing) or IIT Kharagpur (Mtech in CSDP). I preferred IIT Kgp and joined it.

Entrance Preview:

I take WBJEE entrance exam for entrance in BE and gate for ME. I score 107 in WBJEE and 2047 in GATE . Jadavpur university(ju)is best institution in west bengal.

Placement Experience:

In JU placements was almost 100% in BE course on my electronics & telecom department 55 were placed out of 58. And some of them got 3 jobs in hand,some of them got 2 jobs.and in ME 17 are placed out of 23.companies are tcs, cts, ibm, infosys, ericsson, adobe, ibm r&d, wipro, capgemini etc.
