Remarks :

This is one of the best engineering college.as we know that in India iits are the best technical hubs so I prefer to take admission in this college.also environmental condition is good in the campus.it is the best institute for mining and petroleum engineering in India and in Asia.its nirf ranking is also very good.it bags 5th position in nirf ranking.placement scenario is good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes, I think that our course curriculum is pretty well updated, as I had a talk to my friends in Other IIT and their syllabus matches a lot to the syllabus in my college. Teachers in my college give much emphasis on academics and try to answer most of the doubts we have in our class. The theory classes don't have much industrial exposure, but the practical classes surely do. All Professors are very well qualified. Also, most of the faculty in our college is good in explaining the subjects to us. Moreover, even in this pandemic, we're having a lot of onlIne classes on Google Meet and Zoom to help complete the syllabus.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 159000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placement give students the opportunity to gain kill specific to their subject or industry of choice as well as the employability skills required for real- life work. It also increases their knowledge of an industry or sector, allowing them better informed decisions about future career.

College Events :

Campus Life is quite good.The campus is big lush green and full of flowers.You can roam around freely anywhere with your heart out.The college also supports extracurricular activities like sports,dance,Drama, debate etc.You can join a club for these activities according to your interest.The college hold two fest in a year one is technical and literary and the other one is cultural.The technical and literary fest is conducted at a good level with technical events in day time and dj nights and celebrity nights in the evening.The cultural festis a lit fest which is conducted at a grand level total of 3 days and sees a crowdfall of 10-20k audience, anyone from any college can participate in the events and it is followed by celebrity nights in the evening.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

You can get scholarship from your respective states. I'm from UP so I get scholarship by UP goverment. You can also avail education loan facility. SBI provides you education loan upto 20 lakh without any collateral.

Campus Life :

Telling about the infrastructure its too good and and sport facility is good enough,as we got every sport material in college just by using your IDs,and there we have many playground and also separate playground for most of the sport and everything is provided by the college. The library which have almost every book which we need and of good size and on wifi it's dead most of the time except in library our hoslte WiFi is almost dead. In lab we have almost all the equipment but it is not advanced and now also they are using the old equipment,new and advanced is available in market but still they are using the old one."

Hostel Facilities :

Every student is alotted a hostel room and it is his/her choice to find a different accommodation. kanpur doesn't have much outside of IIT kanpur so students usually chose to stay in the hostel. The hostel has excellent wifi connection. The rooms are decent to live in. It depends on your year, and the hostel you live in that you will get a single, double or triple shared accommodation. The hostel fees are very minimal

Placement Experience:

Placement is good in my college. In 5 semesters students started becoming eligible for campus placement. The companies visited TCS, reliance, Zomato, Kota Bank, Infosys, Ola, OYO, uber, Amazon etc The highest ever package received by students in the college of my course is 800000. lakhs rupees. Per annum. 40-50%students get placement in my college. My plan after college is to preparation for the CAT exam. Get into a top college for MBA.

Hardships Of Having a Remote college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The terms were on time mostly and it was easy to pass if we were attending lectures and assignments on time as it is a practical based course rather than much based on theory. The teachers were helpful in most of the scenarios but some subjects were not handled properly as the faculty teaching it used to keep changing. Rest mostly all of the teachers were good.

Dei make their students a better human being first.

Placement Experience:

More specifically if I am talking about placement is that if you want to get good placements in dei that you must maintain your sgpa at least 8 points for you to appear in the placement cell. There are many companies visited in college like torrent power for electrical branch and other for their respective branches. Around 60% of students get their placements through college and it also depends on students' ability and skills. Since I am in the 4th semester so yes from 3rd year students get their training or internship through college to students with good grades. So you must have to maintain at least 8 sgpa for better placements.

Amazing college!

Admission:

To get admission, I had to first fill application form and then pay a small fee for applying to the college, then after submitting the marks scored in 10+2, students were called for a campus interview upon which the students were selected.

Engineering in the city of Gods

Remarks:

The one thing which is deteriorating the Masters level education in India is the double-mindedness of most of the GATE aspirants. Those with lower ranks join institutes of national importance such as ours just for the sake of the monthly stipend and the time they would get for GATE preparation. Such students waste the opportunity for someone else who is really interested in research, but could not get there due to low GATE score. It is high time that we prioritize our needs and act accordingly; it can only boost the research temperament among the student community.
