Allahabad University is the fourth oldest Public University in India after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras University. The university, also known as the Oxford of the East, has been declared an “Institute of National Importance”. Allahabad University is recognised by the UGC and is a very large advanced educational institution with about 45,000 students on campus.

Allahabad University Admission 2024

Candidates seeking admission to Allahabad University must apply online for admission through the university’s official website. Payment for the application can be submitted in online mode only. The necessary steps to apply online for admission into Allahabad University are as mentioned below:

Allahabad University Entrance Exam 2024

Allahabad University Admissions to UG programs are based on the CUET-UG exam. However, for the BTech program, the University also accepts JEE Main scores. PG program admission to Allahabad University is based on Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) conducted by the University itself. However, for the MTech program, admissions are based on the GATE exam. Selections for Allahabad University PhD program are based on the CRET/ GATE/ UGC-NET Score.

Allahabad University Campus

Allahabad University Campus is Spread over the Land area of 232 acres in the city of Allahabad across the area of Old Katra and Bank Road. The major five faculties, namely Science, Arts, commerce, law, management & arts faculty housed at Allahabad University Campus provides advanced learning access to the students. It has numerous residential hostels for students. Some of the major Facilities of Allahabad University campus include:

University Health Centre: For the medical welfare of students and employees of the University, one homeopathy doctor has been engaged at the Healthcare center of Allahabad University Campus. Two ambulances work as emergency facilities for the University. This facility is very useful when students or staff encounter a medical emergency at the campus.
Central Library: The Allahabad University campus has a central library which is a rich learning source for both students as well as teachers. It offers subscription to 268 journals, out of which 137 are Indian and 92 are Foreign. The library provides E-Resource Access to 21,461+ e-journals and 14 e-databases approx.
Computer Centre: This is a centralized facility offered at Allahabad University Campus to students and teachers of the university for assisting them in their research that organizes short-term courses or computerizing Department-wise activities.
Hostel Facility: There are three separate hostels for boys and girls at Allahabad University Campus. These hostels are equipped with all basic facilities necessary for students. The hostel for international students is currently under construction.
Athletic Association: This Association at Allahabad University campus works to promote physical well being of the University students in general. By providing facilities and opportunities for participating in game & sports and by organizing competition and tournaments the Association helps students improve their Mental and Physical wellbeing. So far, the Association has been able to achieve National and International level achievements.
NCC: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement of Allahabad University Campus. NCC provides opportunities to the students of Allahabad University for their all-round development. It aims to develop a sense of duty, commitment, dedication, discipline and moral values in the students so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. Allahabad University Campus has opened 4 NCC units. To provide opportunities to girls for opting NCC, University has opened 6 UP Girls Bn NCC Unit exclusively for girls’ cadets.
Gandhi Bhawan: At Allahabad University campus there is a Mandapam for meditation, yoga, and spiritual hymns namely Gandhi Bhawan. The Gandhi Bhawan Conference Hall with a well-equipped audio-video system, for deliberation and discussion, can accommodate 60 people.

Allahabad University has a dedicated placement cell that conducts on-campus and off-campus placement drives. The cell also conducts mock interviews and training sessions for the selection process. The University campus has a large area with lush green gardens and the buildings of campus are old and heritage
The professors are highly qualified and the classes run on time

The curriculum is kind of old as compared to modern era
The University does not give much placements only few are given

Admission:

The eligibility of the course is you should have passed your 12th class examination with science stream and having maths as a subject. In recent 2 years university has takes admissions from the cuet exam scorecard and then giving their cutoff for admissions. University also gives the benefits of reservation to all the applied categories. You can get all the informations like application dates and application fee on the official website of UOA. Admission process is good but I suggest that cutoff should be given on time like other universities.

Admission process of this college is very simple you need to fill form of CUET-UG and select University of Allahabad in your university preference. If you obtained more than 500 marks in out of 900 than you got chance to take admission in Ewing Christian College

If anyone is preparing for professional courses like ca,cfa,cma etc. they have less burden and they can totally focus on the courses they are pursuing
Last but not the least all the teachers are very supportive and helpful.

Dislikes

They are no co-ed classes in this college so one should not except too much from this college
There are no extra curricular activities and fest in this college

Admission:

Eligibility for taking admission in AU you have to give CUET exam in which you have to give English,Accounts & General Test. After giving Cuet exam you have to fill AU form seperately. Last year the cut off was 396 general category

Entrance exam is conducted after which the merit is prepared and students are given preferences accordingly, application form can be found on the college website where all other notifications pop up timingly. Within 2 months the entire admission process is summed up

Campus:- it has an outstanding structure and proper environment for college students
Faculty:- b.sc have the best faculty i can say

Dislikes

Parking area is too bad and also have no mangement
Washroom:- there is common washroom for boy's it's not specific in departments

Admission:

The entrance test is now through cuet but when i have gone in it's special entrance test taken by college and yss the cut off goes high here special in b.sc. After clearing the entrance test you have to come for documentation and it's a normal process not soo hectic at all.

College fest is not as per the expectations

For bachelors you need to complete your 10+2 exams and appear in the college entrance test which they conduct around june n july. After which a result is released amd merit list is prepared accordingly.

University of Allahabad is one of oldest university in India it has a good campus and good environment to study.
It has good infrastructure and good faculty for research.

Dislikes

The is not run properly of some subject .
It needs to improve its rules and regulations.

Admission:

BA is a three year course.It is graduation degree which is necessary for competitive exam .you can take the admission in any University through entrance conducted by University.You can apply for it through Cyber or directly going to its website by itself . I took the the admission in BA through entrance exam conducted by Allahabad University.It was total of 300 marks and from which I got 192 As I belong to obc NCL so I got the admission in the first cutoff of obs reservation.The cut off was 194 as I had a good marks so I got a admission in main campus of Allahabad University. It syllabus of ba entrance exam contains current affairs,GK GS,Hindi language, English language,and simple reasoning and the for the examination is 2 hrs it may be online or offline

There is labs are not renewed instruments are older and not gives precise measurements.
To improve the department and better education.

Eligibility of the Course is 12 pass with above of 55% You can find the application form, application fees, and application details from website of university of Allahabad. The frequency and timing of exams is once in a year and their difficulty level is normal. Admission process is improve cutoff scheme.

If I talk about the admission process it was started after the COVID in December 2021 . Our session get delayed because of COVID pandemic. Our admission started from December and we were waited for our councelling dates and we were waited a lot and finally I was called for my councelling in 3rd list and got the admission

Campus are very neat and clean...full focus on better environment.Departments are good.

Washrooms facilities are not too good as all aspect.
In some departments chairs and tabel are not in good condition.

Eligibility for the apply in course is to be minimum 12th pass with required subject in which you want to be appear. Its application form available easily on online visit its official website or sarkari result ror apply. Reservation benefits in cutoff. Difficulty level of exam was moderate. Improvement I need that is its verification.

Can I appear for end-semester exams if my attendance is less than 75% at Allahabad University?

No, students of Allahabad University will not be allowed to appear for their main exams if their attendance is less than 75%. However, there may be exceptions in some cases. Usually, Allahabad University students can appear for end-semester exams only if they have a minimum attendance of 75% or more in respect of classes delivered in each course separately. But in the cases given below, candidates are exempted from the minimum attendance requirement up to a certain percentage:

Exceptions for the non-fulfillment of minimum attendance requirement:

If a student fails to fulfill this condition due to some unavoidable circumstances beyond his/her control like illness etc., attendance up to 20% will be condoned by the Dean/HOD on production of medical certificate/supporting documents on justified grounds.
If a student represents his/her institution, university, state, or nation in sports, NCC, NSS, cultural or any other officially sponsored activities, he/she shall be eligible for relaxation of attendance up to 20% in a course based on the specific recommendations of the Dean/Head of the Department.
