Remarks :

The institute is good for UG programme. There is no scope for Ph.D or Research.

Entrance Preview :

I took GATE Examination qualified in 2008. I had found all good information on the institute website and was impressed by the information provided on the site.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was not up to the mark. It has not been updated for a long time and looks random. Most of syllabus are backdated and need up-gradation.

Internships Opportunities :

No internship is offered by the college as there is no such activity. So no question of stipend. There is no projects or consultancy where interns can work on.

Placement Experience :

There is excellent placement and job offered to the UG students. As the college is nere to industry and kolkata. The institute has good communication and connectivity with other cities.

College Events :

The institute celebrates the annual cultural fest called CULFest organised and performmed by the students and annual techno management fest Ojass. Both of them are celebrated in national lavel.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees is comparatively high. for Ph.d it is charging the highest fees in the region. But B Tech students are usually gets some scholarship from state or central government or other organizations.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

B.Tech students are usually gets some scholarship from state or central government or other organizations.

Campus Life :

The campus life is some what good. lost of space to play football cricket etc. There are number of students societies and clubs to practice and nurture singing, dance, vocabulary, drama etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is not adequate huge number of Post graduate and Ph.D students are forced to stay out of campus.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is not so strong yet. People are trying to make the network strong. The annual alumni meet is organised each year to connect with the alumni. The institute has large number of well known alumni.

Exam Structure :

Very new kind of exam system is implemented here. The examination of each subject is taken in three parts test 1 of 20 marks test 2 of 20 marks, end term of 40 marks and teachers assessment of 10 marks and 7 quizzes of 10 marks.

Faculty :

There is huge need of young and dynamic faculties. Most of the post are vacant. Faculties are not willing to do research and academic activity. Few good faculties are there, the institute is ran by them.

Admission:

The students have to go go through a cutoff as the the admission is merit based. Students who are good in academic and have scored well in their Masters program are qualified for applying. When I applied I found that the admission was not as easy as I thought. You need to have really good marks to get in.

Placement Experience:

No the college does not have any placements of job opportunities inside the campus but the professors prepare the students for internships and interviews so that they can do good in outside world and easily get jobs.
