Remarks :

Positive remarks are good Environment, The campus is large in area, Seniors are helpful and nice, No ragging in campus. Negative remarks are Located outside the city Ranchi, Transportation is not feasible.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well from 2018 onwards college has adopted to Choice based credit system which is nice to have. Course curriculum is updated and industry ready. Exam structure is as follows - for theory- 1 mid Sem (25 marks) and two Quizzes (best of two-15 Marks). 1 End Sem 60 Marks.

Placement Experience :

The placement is amazing for CSE and IT branch. The average package is around 10LPA. While other branches has a low package but still good. About 200 companies come to college for placements. The top ones are Microsoft, Amazon, VMware, Directi etc. Yes the college does provides Internship but it on a Industry through placement division. The average stipend is 50k/month.

College Events :

The college has two major fest Pantheon and BITOTSAV. Pantheon happens in October and is 2-3 days long which includes many events including pro night. BITOTSAV is kind of similar to Pantheon but it is large in scale. There are other events like annual sports meet and Vajra. Also there are events for robotics and coding (Hack-a-Bit).

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is expensive. It is about 1.5 lacs per sem which is quite expensive. But one can easily get loan which helps in paying the fee. Since it is a private college so obviously fee structure is high. The fee is like IITs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

One can take loan easily because college has a good reputation.Also many state government provide loan at nominal interest rate so it is not a problem. There is facility of GP Birla Scholarship which is quite nice. One can get upto 80% of tuition fee return.

Campus Life :

Gym facility is nice although it is small in size. There is a seperate Gym for girls in girls hostel. The sports complex is quite large in size and has all the courts for every commonly playing sports. There is GP Bilra Auditorium and CAT hall for cultural programs.

Hostel Facilities :

It is mandatory to take hostel. Hostel infrastructure is normal. Some of the hostels are very old while some are new. Drinking water facility and sports facility is average. Internet facility is above average.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, the alumni network is very helpful. There are students of BIT Mesra in every corner of the world. In IT sector BIT Mesra is a huge brand name. Senior works in Google, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley Directi etc.

Admission :

My college invites people of Home State (Jharkhand) to take admission. I applied through that.For this you must have JEE Mains rank less than 1,00,000.I got IT my rank was 26103. The college take admission through JOSAA counselling.

Faculty :

The senior Professors are nice and well qualified. The tequip faculty has mixed talent.Some of them are good and well knowledged while other are just there wasting time. Overall I will rate faculty 3 out of 5.

BIT Mesra- Is institute good for research?

Placement Experience:

T&P cell of the institute works regularly to ensure proper placement of their students. Students become eligible from their 3rd year to enroll in placement sessions. Big companies like Wipro, Tata etc. comes to hire students.

Infrastructure in iit ism dhanbad as a PhD scholar

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exams here is very good and not that many tough exams the teachers teach in class that surely come into the exams teachers are so cooperation and are very helpful they are strict in some cases while checking the answers.

Remarks:

It is one of the best institute in India specialy in Geosciences subjects. Teaching quality of faculties are good enough. Research quality institute is also not bad. Software which has been useful for the respective Scholars are provided by the department.

Perfect for PhD

Admission:

The students have to go go through a cutoff as the the admission is merit based. Students who are good in academic and have scored well in their Masters program are qualified for applying. When I applied I found that the admission was not as easy as I thought. You need to have really good marks to get in.

Placement Experience:

No the college does not have any placements of job opportunities inside the campus but the professors prepare the students for internships and interviews so that they can do good in outside world and easily get jobs.

The procedure to take admission to PhD in the college is very straight. A person needs to give the entrance test conducted by the government of India every year. Then on the basis of interview and merit this Institute take students.
