Likes
- The campus life is not very great but is quite good in its own way. The hostel life is quite mazing and the presence of various clubs in the college makes it even great.
- The faculties are great with amazing teaching qualities, the course curriculum though being amazing is completed properly within the semester schedule.
Dislikes
- The campus life could have been more safe and engaging. The campus being open is a huge setback to the environment of the campus.
- The infrastructure needs a huge development. Currently, it could be said to have an average infra and has a huge scope for further developments.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curricum has courses very relevant to the present day industry needs. The curricum includes core concepts of mechanical engineering as well as subjects like Supply Chain Management, Data analytics, Opearational Management etc. The exams are conducted twice in a semester, once in the middle of the semester and one in the end. For the autumn semester, mid sems in October and End Sems in December. For the spring semester, mid sems in March and end sems in May.
Internships Opportunities :
There are more than a 100 companies offering internships under various positions. The period of that often lies in between 2-6 months. The students can also get internships off campus. The stipend is as per the role, sometimes zero as well.
Placement Experience :
Eligibilty for placements- After the 6th semester. Mpre than 200 companies visit the campus, e.g. Atlassian, Amazon, TATA Steel, TATA Motors, etc. Highest package in Production and Industrial Engg is about 16 lpa. For circuital branches it is 83 lpa. Average package is 8 lpa (pie branch) and 12 lpa (overall). Percentage of placemt has ben around 95%.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
fee structure includes tution fees- 125000 / year hostel fees- 30000 / year mess fees- 34000 / year. institute fees- 25000 / year The gen/obc students with annual income of 5,00,000+ have to pay the entire fees. The sc/st/pwd and gen-obc with annual income less than 1 lakh do not need to pay the tution fees. The gen-obc students with annual family income between 1-5 lakhs have to pay one-third of the tution fees. This makes the total cost to be around 8.5 lakh(in case of no remission).
Campus Life :
Cultural Fest- Culfest (heldin February) technical Fest- Ojass(held in April) Sports Fest - Urja (held in November) Various branch fests keep going on throughout the year. There are books in ample numbers, in few lakhs and a number of journals and newspapers are available. Hundreds of activities keep going on in the campus. Some sports facilities are for tennis, table tennis, cricket, badminton, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
For the first year- Double occupancy rooms. From 2nd year onwards, single occupancy is provided. The menu includes a huge variety and is different each day. There is a night canteen in the hostel as well to maintain the balance of taste. Registration for the hostel will be done during admission itself.
Admission :
Eligibility- 12th or equivalent with 75%+ score, and should have qualified JEE_Main. appliction form can be found on Josaa and is released every year in December. Exams are held twice, in january and april. The best score of the two is considered. Difficulty - 7/10
Faculty :
The faculty members are very helpful and easily approachable. Every one of them is very helpful and as the academics of the college is quite hectic, they play a major. The faculty and student ratio is somewhere close to 1:6, making the class quite interactive.
