Remarks :

If I have to rate my college then I will give 9 out of 10. I deducted one star because of issie i.e hostel single seat to students. Otherwise college provide everything to students at their places. I love my college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

PhD is basically doing research on a fixed topic. Basically it is research based program. You have to come with something new in the field so that people will be benefited by your works. That's why we are called Research Scholar.

Placement Experience :

Yes, Placement in IIT BHU is satisfactory. Almost all students get placements here. In Vacation students apply for various internships. They also get paid from 20k-2lakh per month for that internships of one to two month. In PhD students get 31k per month for 2years where after that we get 35k per month upto 5years.

College Events :

3mega events are famous in IIT BHU. Technex, the technical event where events are focused basically on technology and innovations. Kashiyatra, the cultural events which focuses on cultures like dancing, singing etc. The last one is Spardha, the mega Inter IIT sports festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is generally feasible for students with high income background students. For low income background students there is tuition waver. They can het wave off their tuition fee by showing income certificate of their parents.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As I'm a PhD research scholar and we are getting stipend every month for that. Scholarship is only applicable for Under graduate students. Some of International scholarships are Rhodes, Japanese Government scholarship for research students 2019. You can find all details on IIT BHU Website.

Campus Life :

Laboratories in IIT BHU are very well equipped. We are provided updated instrumets. In evening we are free to play different indoor and outdoor games. All facilities are provided to students for their good health

Hostel Facilities :

Yes I opted for hostels and staying in it. Hostel infrastructure is very good but the rooms are very small compared to other IIT. They didn't provide single rooms to PhD students. I think every research scholar should get single rooms.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes there is almuni meet every year in IIT BHU. Almuni network is a little bit strong here. A guest is completely constructed by alumni fund only which shows how strong is the almuni network. They are very helpful.

Admission :

We are shortlisted on the basis of GATE score. Then we scrutinized by written examination before sitting in the interview process. The selection committee select students on the basis of GATE score, Written examination score and last and very important interview's score.

Faculty :

Faculty are highly qualified and humble in nature. They are very helpful in academic. Giving lectures on time to giving assignments to students for knowing the results of what students understood about the course work.

Honest review for IIT BHU Phd aspirant

Remarks:

Best thing is that we do get all the information through institute email, college management is very helpful they don't force you in unnecessary paperwork or permission stuff. The only thing that i lack in the institute is that unavailability of single room in the hostel.

Remarks:

Campus is very good, greenery everywhere. Location of institute is near ganga river, just 1 km away from campus. there is health centre facility and BHU hospital. I have one regret, i.e hostel and mess facility. Institute management should pay more attention on infrastructure and better facility as per IITs standard.

Entrance Preview:

GATE, 96 percentile, this college provides perfect environment for research students. Faculty of the Civil Engineering department is compatible in all new research.

Placement Experience:

After completion of the PhD almost every student got the job opportunities. Mainly most of students are got job in the different Universities and Colleges. Here minimum package for the PhD students starts from 10 to 12 lakh per year. Some of the student also prefer to go in the research areas.
