Remarks :

College management do good work supporting all kinds of activities of students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As the institute is mainly focusing on bringing up space scientists it's syllabus and curriculum are slightly different from other colleges. There are 3 branches aerospace engineering, electronics and communications engineering and engineering physics which is a dual degree program. Students will be assessed on the basis of 2 quizzes, internal assessment and end semester examination. The syllabus and structure of education helps me familiarise with the space science

Placement Experience :

Students of btech having CGPA above 7.5 are eligibel for direct recruitment to isro. As per the vacancies and grade preference students are recruited. Placement for other companies are also there but rare compared to other colleges of this standards.

College Events :

Dhanak - it's the annual cultural festival of iist. It's a 3 day celebration which attracts students from colleges all over the country. Conscientia - annual technical fest of iist. Which is one of the best fests in South India which includes many technical events like robowar, amphiboats, RC planes, drones etc. All cultural events like holi, Onam, dandiya night are also celebrated in iist.

Campus Life :

Campus life is strict and safe compared to other colleges. 24×7 college is guarded by CISF. Gender ratio is low, approximately 25 girls for 100 boys in every year. Relationship between the students of every batch is good since the number is less. In general campus life is completely calm and peaceful.

Hostel Facilities :

Our college is completely residential. So it is compulsory for every undergraduate student to opt hostel for staying. Students doing post graduation and research work can stay outside with permission.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni supports us in many ways.really helpful. They provide us help in financial and management problems among us during any event happening in iist.

Admission :

I got admission in this college thourough jee advance entrance examination. Register for the admission for iist around may last week, after the entrance examination. Separate list of applicants will be put in iist website as per the jee rank. Applicants will be called for admission around July 1st and there will be 6 or 7 rounds of allotments till around July 20 th. Admission process will end around July 21st and classes will start in the same week.

Faculty :

Faculties of my college are definitely highly qualified as minimum qualification for becoming professor is PhD. Most of the professor's in my college has done their PhD work from highly reputed institutes all over the world. Most of the faculties are very friendly and very helpful in studies. We have very strong bond between students and professors as we have the ratio like 1 professor for 6 students

The college has good placement,It depends on the time your being passed out. You should actually prepare your best to get placed in good companies. Also don't depend on college placement completely you should also go off campus placement too.

Placement and job opportunities are fairly good in my college. A lot of good companies come for placement drives every year but it mostly depends on the student themselves. Companies like cisco,MuSigma, Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, Larsen and Toubro and many more come every year.
