Remarks :

Overall cllg is good but infrastructure of second campus is still in developing stage and will have all faculties soon

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are 8 semester In btech. Even semester starts in July and off semester starts in December just after external exam of even semester. There is a mandatory training as per AICTE after 6 semester and college will help you out of this The placement record for software branches are good.but for core branches it is little low as compare to software. But the studies you get here is good in both core as well as software. There are several industrial visits from college like in metcon, Cochin shipyard, Larsen and toubro, Kochi metro, etc

Class Size : 270Course Fees : INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience :

I have done my internship from L&T construction in 2017 just after my 6 semester. As a out the placement it's good for software but little was for core branches. But you definitely enjoy the atmosphere and good knowledge of engineering. Core branch student generally go for master or they try for off campus placement

College Events :

Innovia a technical event which happen every year since 2018 Sastrayan a Kerala project for startup Sattva arts festival. Various seminar and workshops are also there. Seminar like Kochi metro project civil sector unemployment startups etc happen every year. Apart from this you will get a chance to visit coir museum in allepey. Ciitic is the biggest funding emagency of CUSAT who provide funds for your projects. In your btech life you will have to give seminar and project presentation every semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

There are three different categories of seats Keralite around 20000/ semester Non keralite i.e. outside state around 37000 semester Nri 55000/ semester with security deposit of 125000 at time of admission No there are no extra charges for reserving admission The feds can be paid online or through debit card or through DD

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes you can apply for various state scholarship Apart from that if you are a topper lif your branch for two continue semester you will get 10000 rs as a scholarship. Apart from this various scholarship like MoMA, up scholarship are available through website and college will guide you through this.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio 60 40. Many workshop on Hackathon phyton surveying bridge making robotics help in college in coordination with iits. You will get all religion people in Kerala and they are of freindly nature. Politics is there in College but at limited level which won't affect your studies.

Hostel Facilities :

In first campus (SoE) there are college hostel for boys and girls from second year onwards but in second campus (Cucek)the hostel is for girls only. Outside the hostel you will easily gets Pg and flats where you can live with your 4to 5 college freind. The expenses are around 12000 in main campus and 10000 in second campus

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes they are helpful in giving notes and guuidancee After your btech life they are the one who suggest you good companies and became your reference in CV

Admission :

There is an entrance examination known as CUSAT CAT whose registration start around march and April and examination happens in may You have to clear and examination with good rank to get some of the special branches like Fire and safety, naval artitechture in school of engineering ( First campus of CUSAT). I got 6450 rank in CUSAT and I opted civil in Cucek 2nd campus.

Faculty :

Faculty are very much experienced. Many faculties are the alumnus of IITS my own hod is from gold medalist holder from iisc Bangalore and having a vast experience of about 25 years. The average lecturer age is around 40 to 42. Faculties of Cucek has contributed alot after the flood especially of civil Division to provide cost effective and strong houses.

Placement Experience:

there are placements in every years but not every one gets it. because every one has less skills rather than coomparing their marks.becuase of their lacking of skills they have ended up being placed undeer companies which offer less salary.but some got good options also.and my collge is in a rural ares so not so many companies gets here

Yeah they do have placement here and they prefer their students more which is good and most of the time they give placement as teaching assistants. Sometimes only in the plant but mostly it's for TA and especially if you are doing your masters here it is so good

Pros and cons of NIT CALICUT

Placement Experience:

Qualcomm, ibs,Infosys etc visits. Highest package was 55 lakhs. Average package is 20 lakhs. Nearly 100 % placement in computer science engineering. After degree joining get a job through campus placement.

Remarks:

Good government University with better placement opportunities, infrastructure and good educational environment. Fee Structure is feasible and the university is stands apart.

Placement Experience:

Placement and job opportunities are fairly good in my college. A lot of good companies come for placement drives every year but it mostly depends on the student themselves. Companies like cisco,MuSigma, Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, Larsen and Toubro and many more come every year.
