Remarks :

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram is not only the Deemed university of India but also one of the best universities in India to provide the best education in Space Sciences, Space Technology and Space Applications. College was my first priority as space technology and stars inspire me a lot and my interest was in so I decided to opt for the college. The admission process is to be completed through JOSAA and I was able to secure my seat for the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is as per the latest regulation and curriculum properly welcome the new ideas and help us to develop our innovative and decision-making skills. The curriculum properly focuses on Basic Electrical Engineering, Engineering Graphics, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations., Probability and Statistics Computer Networks (Theory + Lab) and many more. the curriculum is the proper blend of theory and practical. The faculty of the college is very good and highly experienced. The faculty have completed their PhD degree from the top universities of India and their research experience is really commendable. The faculty is quite professional and they know how to teach us complicated terms easily.

Internships Opportunities :

The college has a very good internship program and the internship is designed in a very good manner the college makes sure that we are not left out behind in terms of the syllabus while attending the internship. The average stipend for the internship is around 45k.

Placement Experience :

The college placement packages are really commendable. The college is able to maintain a record of 100% placement every year. Adobe Systems, Asia Technologies, Astra Microwave, Collins Aerospace, Delta Electronics, Gauge Data Solutions, GES Infotech, Infosys, Josh Talks, Indian Navy, Mahindra Electric, Philips, Wipro, etc. are some of the regular recruiters of the college. The highest salary offer was around 18 LPA and the average salary offer was 8 LPA for our batch.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college has a scholarship program and they provide scholarships on a merit basis the condition is that one must secure all India JEE and AIR rank up to 1000 and have to maintain the CGPA of 9.0 to or above throughout the tenure to obtain the full fee waiver. The college fee is around 6 lakh the overall salary offer is around 11-12 LPA which imply that the ROI of the college is pretty decent.

Campus Life :

The college campus life is full of lots of assignments and lots of project activities. The collge has a no-ragging policy and the college strictly follows it. the collge infra is not only properly maintained but the campus is also kept clean college heavily promotes cleanliness. The collge library is superb we can find all types of books and of every domain. The college classrooms are modern with AC fitting, a Digital board, and a computer system.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is very well maintained. The hostel has all the facilities like 24 hours of WiFi for internet connectivity, power and water supply, laundry, and a common room with LCD TV. The hostel wardens are quite professional and the staff is very well trained. The hostel security is very good and 24 hours available. The hostel rooms are fully furnished and properly ventilated. The hostel is kept neat and clean and bathrooms are cleaned every alternative day.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Placements are highly offered here and it is one of the attractive features here. Many companies recruit here every year and take many students offering a high lpa. many companies like TCS,Texas, Accenture,09 solutions etc hire students from every department.

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The campus placement rate is high, with competitive packages and a variety of roles offered by well- knowned companies. Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester.
