Eligibility of this course is 12th . Application form fees dates are in the college website or you can visit college offices in towns or you can directly contact with college faculty. This college is under ktu and in this year the college is going to autonomous. Palakkad Thrissur are having there offices you can visit there for admission.
The admission process was a bit harder because we have to attend keam entrance exam and we have to qualify in that exam to get an allotment in various colleges. There are more than 50000 engineering seats available in Kerala. If we qualify keam with better marks that is it contains two papers-1st paper physics and chemistry and 2nd paper mathematics both are out of 480 marks total of 960 marks. If we pass the entrance exam with more than 700 marks then we are eligible to get a set in government colleges otherwise we will get seats in self-financing colleges. I have rank 31314 and my keam score was 149 so the competition was high so I have to secure my seat in self-financing college. Every year they conduct the entrance exam. In that exam, each question will be of 4 marks and for each incorrect answer, they deduce 1 mark. If we qualify keam the government provides a grand scholarship for the students that is 4000 rupees. Eligible students will be selected for tuition waiver schemes.
There is a normal Government allotment process and if you want a management seat, you must qualify for any engineering entrance exam. The college maintains a good-looking and standard website where you can find all details about the college, and there is an option to give your contact number so that a faculty can call you back and help in the admission process
We have keam, JEE and other eligibility criterias. There will be a top office in the college near pharmacy gate, the students can assess to the office for their application details. If the students are under the category of SC category the students can get scholarships.
Basic eligibility for taking admission an engineering college in Kerala is an engineering entrance examination called KEAM. Students who qualify in the keam entrance exam are eligible to study in government colleges. In self-financing colleges there are three types of admission are available for students they are government Merrit, NRI and management merit. Sc/St caste reservation benefits are available for students who come under government merit seats.
Students who completed their higher secondary education and qualify in engineering entrance exams are eligible to take admission in engineering colleges. Government merit students can take admission through allotments and management merit and NRI students can take admission by directly coming to college. Sc/st students are offered reservations.
Students who complete their higher secondary education and qualify engineering entrance exam are eligible to pursue BTech engineering. NCERC provides government and management seats. Students of government merits are taken admission through allotments and management students take admission by directly coming to college. Tuition feeses for each student are varied. Students who got admission through allotments have fixed tuition fees and fees of sc/st categories are paid by the government. So many scholarships are offered by colleges based on students' marks and family backgrounds.
Students who completed their higher secondary education and qualified in engineering entrance examinations are eligible for pursuing their engineering degree. For government merit students' admission is based on allotments and for management students' admission can take by coming directly to college. Sc/sc students are coming under the reserved category.
The colleges under Nehru group of institutions are self financing colleges so they provide admission for nri students and also merritt students. The eligibility criteria for government merritt is the keam rank list, management merritt students need rank in any engineering entrance exam and higher score in higher secondary examination
Mechatronics is a new field of engineering which includes mechanical, electronics and even coding. In short this course have to deal with automation and robotics. The faculty ratio with students were satisfactory. But none of the facilities were from a mechatronics background (since this was an upcoming course). According to our university norms semester exams are conducted every 6 months. Some semesters are easy to pass. Some are tormenting. But overall we can survive till the end if you are an average scoring student.
You can check here to see what types of facilities NCERC provides.
