College Review

Remarks :

Overall the college life is very well once you adjust in the hostel. The academics are really flexible and course works and extra curricular activities are really well. The only thing to improve is the hostel infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is really flexible amd you get to choose ypur own time table according to your own needs which is a very good thing. The course structure is very well set. Enough time is provided for every topic.

Placement Experience :

The placements and job opportunities are also very good and depends from branch to branch. The college provides internship opportunities in the second amd the fourth year for all the students. It also provides research opportunities.

College Events :

There are 3 big fests celebrated in the college- Waves which s the cultural fest held annually in the month of November, spree which is the largest sports fest held annually and quark is the tech fest held in our college every year. Other than this various other events also occur throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is a bit expensive as compared to the other engineering colleges in India. Every year the fee is increased which makes it more expensive. But the fees is worth the knowledge, exposure and other things you get in this college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college has an SBI branch inside it and thr SBI bank gives really good education loan facility for the students. The college also provides various scholarships to the students depending on the parent's income and their overall grade at the end of the semester.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of extra curricular activities in the campus. There are many labs. In the first year students have physics, biology, chemistry, engineering graphics and mechanical workshop in their course.

Hostel Facilities :

There are new hostels for the juniors and old hostels are occupied by the seniors. The new hostels are comparative better and nicely built than the old hostels. Overall the accommodation can he improved to a great extent than the present scenario.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is really well amd widespread. The BITS alumni network is one of the largest in the country. The seniors in the college are really good, helpful and cheerful. There is no form of ragging whatsoever in the campus and juniors usually hangout with their seniors.

Admission :

Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus admits students according to their marks in BITSAT which is an entrance exam for getting admission into any of the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences.

Faculty :

The faculty in the college is highly trained and with lots of experience in their respective fields and a student can learn a lot from them. The faculties are generally all PHD in their respective areas.

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been quite decent and have had 100% placements in the past. The average comes to be a bit average but the highest package so far might be above 44LPA. The main branchea company hire students from are CSE ECE and EEE. The number of students getting placed from CSE and ECE are very good and have good salary packages around 10LPA

Placement Experience:

IIT Goa offers campus placements to its students. Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year of study, i.e., in the 7th or 8th semester. Several reputed companies visit IIT Goa for campus placements, including Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Power, etc. Higher placements offer is of 1.2cr and average placement offers are16-25 lac per annum. The percentage of students getting placed during campus placements at IIT Goa is quite high, with around 90% of students getting placed every year. The remaining students generally opt for higher studies or pursue entrepreneurship. In case no campus placement is offered, students can explore other options for employability, such as applying for jobs through job portals, professional networking sites, or by directly contacting companies. They can also consider pursuing higher education or research in their field of interest or starting their own business.
