Remarks :

College management is very good and always try to help the student but there are some rules that are different from other college create some problem for student.

Entrance Preview :

GATE 2012 Score 611 NIT Rourkela become an internationally acclaimed institution of higher learning that will serve as a source of knowledge and expertise for the society and be a preferred destination for undergraduate and graduate studies.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course structure of all courses are good and mainly focuses on research work. I am working on software engineering my research work is on improving quality of software product by estimation i use number of public open source project and software metrics for research work.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes our college provide inter ship for M.Tech student student with 4000 stipend Some department may pay more or less depends on student.

Placement Experience :

Placement for B.Tech is 95 % and for M.Tech 70 %The major company for placements are infosys (3.7 l), TCS (3.6), Microsoft (14 l), SAP Lab (6l), Samsung (6l) and also major core company for each dept the details of this all placement are shown in college website.

College Events :

NIT rourkela always organic an event to participate student the Student Activity Centre (SAC) is the main hub for student activities, student organizations, programming and events, fitness intramural sports,reaction and fun at the Institute's campus the Student Activity Centre is organized under four main societies and a host of satellite clubs. In addition, every society has satellite clubs that have their own management under overall supervision of SAC.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have no idea about this but college bank provide the loan facility to student in college capus SBI brach is there and also ATM facilities of different bank.

Campus Life :

Students of NIT Rourkela enjoy a number of facilities these include various societies for achieving their dreams, boarding and lodging facility for all students, modern gymnasium, swimming pool, All games and sports facilities, career guidance, almost 100 % placements, medical facilities.

Hostel Facilities :

Large, exclusively student occupied accommodation, maintained by the university residents live in study bedrooms, either alone or sharing with another student the University, with its beautifully landscaped and carefully tended gardens, provides an ideal

Yes they always organic some event and talk for student to interact with senior student i am also a alumni for college.

PhD from an IIT

Placement Experience:

There were very less Ph.D. students who went for corporate jobs after completing the course. Most of them opted to work in research facilities government institutions. The highest CTC of the placement week, in general, went to Rs. 56 LPA. Both domestic and international companies participated in this week. Some of them were Goldman Sachs, GE India, Amazon, Honeywell, Adobe, Vedanta, GAIL, CDAC, TRAI, REC, and Tata Steel.

About my college

Admission:

You have to crack IIT-JEE for B.tech ,IIT-JAM fpr M.SC , Gate for M.Tech and P.hd and NET-JRF exam for P.hd after a valid scorecard you can get admission in this institute. For B.tech you have to do seat allocation online.

Placement Experience:

If you want a good job and you have worked hard enough, In general all IITs provides enough Placements similar with IIT Bhubaneswar.In IITs depends placements depends on the branch and course of study also.
