I am feeling very good at VSSUT. Freedom is given to every individuals to explore themselves. My overall experience is excellent in VSSUT.
Entrance Preview :
I joined VSSUT in 2011 as assistant professor. For faculty members there is no written test to join PhD however, a faculty has to face an interview.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is very good. Mostly every theory subject having labs. individual students or a team of students are assigned with project work for every subject. Students are free to take any elective. but, there should be minimum 25% students of total strength should show their interest to choose the elective.
Internships Opportunities :
No. Students has to opt for internship in various reputed industries. Every year a student has to go for internship as curriculum requirement.
Placement Experience :
Placement is very good. Most reputed MNCs like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Mind tree, Wipro and lot more coming every year. around 85% of students placed in campus placement. The average package is 3.5L.
College Events :
VSSUT is known for its Technical, Cultural and Athletic fests. VSSUT organizing national level tech fest. It is well organized and university supports the fests financially and it is organized through active participation of faculties.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees are as prescribed by Govt. of Odisha and it is affordable. The details of fee structure can be found in http://vssut.ac.in/course-fees.php.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes. Student has to apply for the scholarship. I have not availed any. The banking solutions of university is provided by SBI and syndicate Bank. There is instant loan facility for students of VSSUT by SBI and syndicate bank located in campus.
Campus Life :
Lot of opportunities to explore the talent in VSSUT. We have Robotics club, 5th position in India. Baja-SAE Club, Music club and satellite club and many more. In a recent activity our satellite club grab the 1st position in asia.
Hostel Facilities :
No. Rooms are very comfortable. The rooms are on sharing basis. The room charges is approx Rs. 5000/- per year. No PGs. Food quality is good. Mess charges is approx Rs. 12000/- per year. Each day they provide morning breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is very good. Every year Global Alumni Meet is conducted by university and provide platform for current students to interact with their alumni. Alumni contribute a lot in different ways for the overall growth of the university.
Exam Structure :
Exams and labs are very frequent. The environment is very good to learn. We enjoy he learning.
Faculty :
The faculties in the university are highly qualified. They are very much friendly and encouraging students to develop their inter and intra personal skills by engaging the students in various activities.
