Remarks :
Our college is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology. I am in the final year of my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Hotel Administration.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The B. Sc. program is a 3 year program, covering in-depth topics of subject matter. The program also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skills standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation, and Housekeeping.
Placement Experience :
Industrial training is going to be a key determining factor in shaping your career. Maintaining a healthy relationship with the faculty members can also be helpful, since most of the faculty members here does have many corporate relations.
College Events :
The cultural fest, Riwaayat, was the highlight of the session. Other extracurricular activities included, freshers party, farewell party, teacher’s day, essay competition, rangoli competition and numerous industrial visits.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
My first semester fee and enrolment fee was somewhere around INR 66,000. Thankfully, there were no hidden charges.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure is good, but the location is not, especially for girls. Campus life is not good in IHM, since there are a lot of local students in the college. I came from south to do my Bachelor’s and find a job, but I had trouble adjusting.
Admission :
The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology centrally conducts a Joint Entrance Test (JEE) in the month of May. Admissions to the IHM are strictly based on that. The results of the tests were announced shortly after. You will receive a call from the institute regarding further process.
Faculty :
Some faculty members were not qualified for the position. Rest were experienced industry personnel. We learned a lot from them.
