About BH College
B. H. College, Barpeta was established in 1966 with initially only with Arts faculty in Barpeta. It got its affiliation from Gauhati University, Assam. The college has now grown into a premium college in Assam catering the need of higher education in the entire region.
Soon after its inception in 1973, Commerce faculty was started in 1973 and subsequently Science faculty in 1988 and PG in Commerce in 1990. This all helped the institution to be the only full-fledged three faculty institution in Lower Assam under Gauhati University. The college got UGC recognition in 1969 and NAAC accredited it with the distinction of B++ in 2003.
The academic result of the institute strengthens the institution and give the staff members power to give their best to the students so as to do better and best. As a rural college, the college is catering education to the youth coming from families of farmers and cultivators. The college has mede itself so strong enough to meet the growing challenges of Higher Education.

- I studied Economics and I had a good experience with our dept. Our teachers were interactive and most importantly, they were good teachers.
- Discipline of the college is moderate and I think that's really good for any student. Principal is strict
Dislikes
- Little higher fees than it should be. But it's negligible.
Admission:
You should have more than 45% in 12th. After that you have to get selected for in the merit list. Total 3 merit lists are announced one after another. You can apply from the portal but there is spot admission. No entrance exams required.

- I liked my college environment and it's positivity all around the teaching faculty and our principle sir/madam helped us in many things
Dislikes
- Well to be honest I didn't like the common area and it's washrooms. management of that were literally not so good

Eligibility of the course was 75% in 12th and yeah it differs from course to course for eg for any other course it may require 70-80% required etc. after applying we had to wait for the merit list to be released. after the selection list is released we are asked to submit important documents for admission to be done. well the process is quite long

- I liked the environment and the college campus .It was a very good college with two canteens. The teachers were very friendly and helped us when needed .
- The campus was very eco friendly.It was surrounded by trees.
Dislikes
- We have to give money for every occasion . Whether its for farewell or for picnic.

The eligibility was only like more than 40 or 50 percentage.the application form is given in its official website and the fees is shown there.the application dates wil be announced when the merit list is out.

- The faculty members are good and polite with the students
- Different types of teaching and learning programmes are organised.
Dislikes
- Classes are not being regularly taken by teachers...as some of them acts lazy
Admission:
The admission process is semi-online. The students need to apply online for the admission and however the admission happens in offline mode. The cut off is however a decent one for the students. There is no need of any entrance exam for the admission in my college.The college upto dates notice for every information...like the application fees, application dates and the date of admission. There are reservation seats for the Sts,SCs,Pwds,BPL card holders...our college also offers free admission to students whose parents yearly income is less than lakhs per annum

The admission process is like that you have to fill up the form online on the college portal. And merit list will be produced, if you're on the merit list then you can take admitted to this college. Reservation is available and depends on your category level. Fees are so normal but different for different streams

If some mistakes you have in filling out the form they called you to fill out a form, correct the mistake, and resubmit again. After some days they publish a merit list over the 50% above students. The UG course has 560 seats. They select the first 560 candidates.

minimum age for ug course is 18 and you should have atleast 70% in 12th exam for admission. the admission process is very simple.Firstly, you have to fillup the required form for admission.Then, after some days, the college administrative call you for councelling.

In B.H. college there teachers are very experience teacher. Here maths teacher are so good in my experience. So I join this college. Faculties are very good. Admission systems are simple. Admission:
I joined this college under the recommendation of my parents. The college campus is really big with lots of greenery. However, the classes are not always regular. Sometimes the class gets missed out because of the absence of the teachers. However, the faculty is really good along with a peaceful environment to study. The admission fee is not that high, since it is collected only yearly about 1000-1500/- per year. This college is good for those who want to study in a big campus without much fee tension. Also, there are libraries as per different streams and subjects with science labs and computer labs. The overall environment is really good.

I chose the college because it was said to have good teachers. It was recommended by my parents. Although sometimes the classes are not regular. The teachers are always ready to help.
