- Hostel Accomodation: The Hostel facilities are available for girls and boys from the Academic Session 2018-19 onwards. The admissions to the hostel are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The student will be provided with a sleeping cot, cupboard, writing table, and chair. The student should bring with him his own mattress, pillow, mug, bucket, etc. 1 Year advance fee for the hostel should be deposited along with the security deposit.
- Applied Training Centre: The Government of Meghalaya handed over the Yatri Niwas (centrally funded) to the Institute for running as a training Hotel to provide an elaborative skilled Manpower for all the round development in the Tourism and Hotel Industry.

IHM Shillong offers 4courses like craftsmanship, bakery, and for bachelor, B.Sc H&HA is the only course offered in this college. I choose B.Sc over diploma as because B.Sc has a better scope in compare to diploma.I admitted in this college in the year 2021 which now I'm basically a 1st year student.The campus is really good and the teachers here are really helpful and friendly.the infrastructure is also good.The hostel foods are heavenly good,i think it's the best institute that provides a good meal to the hosteller.Now,when it come to campusplacements ,the college basically has a good scores but then the packages are not that good,which start from 12k-35k range.So over-all 7/10.

All of the things above mentioned are good and Amazing in my college. The faculty is supportive. Tue cirriculum is good and tye campus has all the facilities that they can provide in the area. Food has improved in a greater scale and will be in continuous motion.

Every student persuing bsc in hospitality has to do 4 month industry training provided by college or self searched 5 star hotel in all major department like in front office, food production, food and beverage service, Housekeeping. The students will be selected in group and they Will be assigned a handler faculty who will help them to get intership in hotel. After getting intership they will be rewarded certificate which is helpful for students to get job later

The modules we had as our course curriculum were practically the best as per my perspective and also we experts who made us practice in the labs. We were taught the aspects of various dishes and the requirement of nutrition and its production process along with the procedure. We had majorly theory exams and practical assignment submission.

As the course was lengthy, there were quite hectic days during the week and also during the submission of the assignments. There were practical training and lectures in the labs where we learned the actual work at the job. Exams were as similar as the semester exams but a change was in the practical ones.

The curriculum is based on the timelime of 18 months which is 1 year 6 months. It is a UG diploma course that will include many theories and practicals. Depending upon which diploma you take, the syllabus would be structured acccordingly. I took up Diploma in food productions, so I had to do many practicals.

The curriculum is very organized and was planned, executed to perfection. The curriculum includes all the techniques and skills necessary for my course that were not just taught but, we are made to practice almost every alternate day.
