Comparing 2 IITs is illogical as every IIT is unique in its own way. Because of the difference in the duration of the establishment, one might have a better alumni network than the other. My friend received a call in Cryogenic on the basis of her GATE score in the Instrumentation exam. The entire interview lasted for 12 minutes. The panelists initially cross-checked the GATE score with her and then began the interview.

The IIT Law School or Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law,IIT-Kharagpur offers two degrees: LLB with Honors in IP Law and LLM
Although the criteria are similar for both these degrees, the qualifications required are way different. For admission to LLB. For Admission to LLB courses, you need to have a B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc/MBA with a science/engineering background.

It is not an unknown fact that the CSE department of IIT Kharagpur is the best of the entire institute and has amazing academic records. So I will be discussing things that are not academically relevant
- IIT KGP has an entire hospital (B.C. Roy Technology Hospital) on campus, providing free medicines and treatment to all students.
- Every hall of residence has its own stationary, grocery, and photocopy shops.
- There is also an in-campus Tech market that has all necessities.
- In addition to the mess and hall canteens of the hostel, there is a Cafe Coffee Day, a Baskins Robbins, a Subway outlet and numerous restaurants to satisfy your taste buds.
- The sports facilities include Basketball courts, Football grounds, and indoor games as well. Every hostel has its own sports facilities and Television (common room).

- Lastly, IIT KGP has the largest technical library in Asia that is stacked with reputed engineering journals.
