Before joining MANIT Bhopal, I was also worried about how the atmosphere on campus would be.
But when I got here, I realized that ragging has almost gone extinct on campus. Since the past few years, there have been no cases of ragging in the college. MANIT might not be your first choice, but you’ll come to love this college with time. The college has a good reputation, and your hardwork will get you your dream job.
The CSE department witnesses really good placements, and now, even the other branches are performing well. Every student of this college gets equal placement opportunities. With the required skill set and a good personality, you can easily crack campus interviews and get placed.
MANIT is a good college with lots of opportunities. As an NIT, it has a brand value as well.
Have known some people who have pursued M.Tech in CSE from NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Bhopal, and IIIT Allahabad. I can say that you can opt for IIIT Allahabad for CSE. Do not choose NIT Kurukshetra.

IIIT Allahabad is a good choice for M.Tech in CSE. You can also go for NIT Bhopal which has a good placement record. But lacks a good teaching-learning process. So, It is suggested you go for IIIT Allahabad, as it will be the best option for you.
I will never recommend you to choose NIT Kurukshetra because the administration is very disappointing and the entire system is in dilapidated condition. The CSE branch specifically is losing its charm. The official records claim some very good professors but the reality is most of them aren’t interested in teaching.
The result is declared after 4 months and the students were given backs by a margin of 1/4 of a mark. The duration of exams is long, giving no time for holidays. The Institute does not encourage any kind of educational tours or summer training. Research work is not promoted in any form. The only reason NIT Kurukshetra is still here is because of the hard work of students who get good packages.
NIT Delhi is a much better option than NIT Bhopal because:
Overall, if you are looking for a college to experience vibrant and lively campus life and also enjoy the city life, then choose NIT Delhi but if your focus is on studying and pursuing higher studies and want a serene and calm ambiance then go for NIT Bhopal.
Both NITs, namely NIT Hamirpur and NIT Bhopal are excellent engineering colleges. However, NIT Hamirpur is much better than NIT Bhopal, and here is why
Although NIT Hamirpur faces a slight locational disadvantage of not having great connectivity through Railways and air, the placement scenario is great. NIT Hamirpur CSE placement statistics have been mentioned below

NIT Bhopal placements for the CSE branch are decent too and the average package recorded was INR 17.45 LPA.
So, choose your college wisely!
If you look at all the criteria MHRD takes into consideration while ranking institutes, NIT Silchar is at par with most NITs but in terms of research, and infrastructure. The only parameter in which NIT Silchar was behind NIT Warangal was reputation and the difference was drastic. This affected the overall ranking of the institute in turn lowering the NT Silchar cutoffs.
I think the major reason behind its poor reputation is its remote location and the rumors related to it. It's falsely rumored to be in a Naxalite region and the exposure is believed to be minimal. The institute has a bad reputation, particularly in North India.
I have friends from several NITs and I have safely concluded that NIT Silchar is better than many but it's difficult to convince people of the same and the institute has a bad reputation.
To fix this problem, we need our alumni to be more active in portraying the right image of the institute. Additionally, the institute should hold more inter-college events and strive to build a reputation.
According to the NIRF 2020 rankings, MNNIT Allahabad was ranked 48th, NIT Surathkal was ranked 13th, NIT Warangal was ranked 19thand MANIT Bhopal was ranked 65th in India 2020 for B.Tech courses (including ECE). Admission to each institute is done on the basis of rank secured in JEE Main.

My brother completed his CSE from NIT Bhopal. He does not know about the CSE at NIT Rourkela, however, here are his opinions about CSE at NIT Bhopal-
NIT Bhopal CSE has a good placement record but not the best faculty. I would suggest you consult the alumni from CSE branch at NIT Rourkela to get a clear picture of this institution as well before you can choose between the two.
Materials Science and Metallurgy is a good branch. It has huge career prospects in R&D. One can also opt for higher studies post a B.Tech in Metallurgy.
This branch deals with the science of materials. One gets to study the extraction of metals and their refining & purification. The Department of Metallurgy at MANIT Bhopal is quite good. It allows ample time to prepare for GATE. Upon cracking GATE, one can get a job in PSUs like Vizag, IOCL, SAIL, etc.
The department professors are good and supportive. They encourage the students to grab new opportunities in the field of Metallurgy. The placement figures for B.Tech Metallurgy aren’t as good as B.Tech CSE/ECE. The average package is 5–6 LPA, and the highest package touches 8–9 LPA. About 60–70% of the students receive campus placement.
Materials Science and Metallurgy is a good branch, given that one shows interest in it. It offers ample study time to prepare for competitive exams on the side.
MANIT Bhopal is a good college for Architecture. But a college completely devoted to Architecture and Planning is a better choice.
At such colleges, one has access to a strong alumni base. Apart from that, we get the right outlook for the field and a central library full of new architecture books. These colleges have digital labs with new architecture software. The crowd over there is completely devoted to the field of Architecture. These colleges organize dedicated seminars and guest lectures on Architecture and Planning. It is a huge boost to one’s self-esteem as an Architect in making.
At NITs/state engineering colleges, our engineering friends receive placement one year ahead. But, one has an almost negligible chance of campus placement. SPA/CEPT won’t offer placements either, but this won’t be as demoralizing. Their strong alumni network allows us the chance to work in a firm through a senior’s recommendation.
Thus, I would recommend you opt for SPA, CEPT, or other Architecture colleges for your B.Arch.
