Which one should I prefer: IIIT Allahabad dual, IIIT Amethi IT, SGSITS (Indore) ME, or MANIT Civil?
First of all, forget about SGSITS Indore as it stands nowhere in front of IIIT and MANIT. If you are looking for good placement and salary then forget MANIT Civil too. The only options you are now left with are - IIIT Allahabad dual and IIIT Amethi IT. Clearing things about IIIT Amethi, it has been closed and have been moved to IIIT Allahabad.

There is no point in spending extra two years pursuing M.Tech at IIIT Allahabad because if you are interested in a PG Degree then you can prepare for GATE during UG. Doing so will get you admission at any IITs which would be better for your career.
It is better to go for IIIT Allahabad and if you feel to go for PG then prepare, get a good score and go for IITs. Otherwise, you can always go for placements and will probably land up a very good job.
How is electrical engineering in MANIT Bhopal?
As an alumnus of MANIT Bhopal, I will try to shed some light on the Electrical department of my college-
- Faculty- The regular faculty (professors) is quite good and supportive. The professors are amiable in nature, and always there for the students. But some of them are short-tempered.
- Placement Scenario- The placements completely depend on company requirements, so they can’t be deemed good or bad. Around 60 companies visit the department every placement season. The placement percentage drops and rises according to the vacancies in the firms for that particular year. Also, as the Electronics branch has strengthened its hold, Electrical placements have received a setback.
- Facilities- The lab facilities are poor, but the management is good. It is the only department with fixed rules and regulations.
Overall, Electrical Engineering is a decent option, and you’ll enjoy your stay at MANIT Bhopal.
Which is better for CS, IIIT Allahabad or NIT Bhopal?
Here are a few strong reasons why you should consider choosing IIIT Allahabad over NIT Bhopal.

Now, MANIT Bhopal is also a good college. One advantage is that it is located in Bhopal city. On the other hand, SPA Bhopal is located on the city outskirts.
For branch value, join SPA Bhopal. But for a better exposure to city life and the associated advantages, join MANIT Bhopal.
For an M.Tech in bioinformatics, which one is better: IIIT Allahabad or MANIT Bhopal?
Among the institutes mentioned, IIIT Allahabad is a better alternative for Bioinformatics. One of my friends was also going through this same situation a few years back and he chose IIIT Allahabad. His experience at the institute has been quite good over the past 4 years.

What are the placement opportunities for a civil engineer at MANIT, Bhopal?
MANIT Bhopal offers plenty of opportunities and exposure, and the Civil Department is very professional and highly reputed. But as far as placements are concerned, the opportunities are very limited for Civil students.
Unlike elite institutes, you won’t get direct placement offers from Mega Project Holders. The placement records are very unsatisfactory for the Civil branch. During 2022, the average package for B.Tech Civil was a mere 6.74 LPA. The maximum package was 13 LPA, the median package was 6.30 LPA, and the lowest package was 4.8 LPA.
But you’ll get plenty of time in the department to join coaching for GATE, IES, GRE, etc. Basically, it is better to work hard and try for off campus placements, or higher studies/competitive exams. Do not rely on the placement drive at the Civil department.
Thus, the placement opportunities for Civil engineers at MANIT Bhopal are very few.
How is the environment at MANIT Bhopal?
MANIT Bhopal is a prestigious institute, and JEE aspirants work hard to get into it.
Here is all you need to know about the environment at MANIT-
- Coding Culture/Environment- The coding culture at MANIT isn’t great, to be honest. A lot of the students aren’t even interested in learning programming. But around 60% of the CS batch consists of dedicated coders who work hard and pave their path all by themselves.
- Cultural Environment- The campus has various cultural societies/clubs. Students from all over India join this college each year.
- Sports Environment- This college is very good for sports enthusiasts. It has its own cricket, volleyball, football, basketball and kabaddi teams. The college teams take part in inter-NIT competitions and regional-level competitions.
- Academics- The academic environment is not that good, but still better than many NITs. But infrastructure, labs, and faculty have all improved in the past few years. The students of MANIT are hardworking and ambitious.
Though MANIT has its fair share of shortcomings, it is a good place for growth and learning. Also, in the past few years, things have changed a lot for the better.
What things should I keep in mind to get campus placement from MANIT Bhopal?
As a former student at MANIT Bhopal, here are my tips to prepare you for campus placements-
- Do not be overconfident- It never helps to be overconfident about yourself. It is wrong to believe that you’ll secure a job simply by the virtue of your communication skills, or by watching some online videos on interview preparation. Instead, overconfidence will work against you.
- Prepare well- You’ll know the sequence in which companies visit the campus. So practice guesstimates, case-studies, or whatever is required to get selected in a particular company. If speaking is not your forte, practice well.
- Be patient- Don’t feel jealous of your friends if they are placed before you. Keep working hard, and you’ll be placed sooner or later.
Take your placement drive seriously. Once you are out of college, life will get tougher, and you’ll have to compete against people from various backgrounds/institutions.
