Yes, you are likely to receive a call from most IIMs with a percentile as high as 99.9. In fact, scoring 99 percentile in CAT is the only way you can guarantee admission to a certain extent into an IIM.
As far as the top IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Kozhikode are considered, the CAT cut-off is often more than 99 percentile ( General category).
To be able to score 99+ percentile it’s very important to know the right way to answer the questions. Firstly, you will have to ensure zero-error performance by choosing the questions wisely. Your target CAT score should be 10 in order to enter the 99 percentile bracket.

I suggest you not to score below 6.5 as CGPA 7 is a must to get admission in a good foreign university. However with a CGPA of 6.5 you can go for Government jobs. I know a friend who did not focus on CGPA and played football and today is struggling to get a good job.
It is all the more difficult to get a good CGPA after low marks in the first semester because the professors evaluate you on the basis of previous grades sometimes. However, you will get placement into a decent private company so you don’t have to worry much.
Basically, even after getting admission at a good institute like IIT KGP, you have to keep struggling to score high marks.
DTU released only rank-wise cutoffs so it would be difficult to determine the score necessary to get into DTU. Here are the closing ranks of various B.Tech programs offered at DTU.
