Before joining MANIT Bhopal, I was also worried about how the atmosphere on campus would be.

But when I got here, I realized that ragging has almost gone extinct on campus. Since the past few years, there have been no cases of ragging in the college. MANIT might not be your first choice, but you’ll come to love this college with time. The college has a good reputation, and your hardwork will get you your dream job.

The CSE department witnesses really good placements, and now, even the other branches are performing well. Every student of this college gets equal placement opportunities. With the required skill set and a good personality, you can easily crack campus interviews and get placed.

MANIT is a good college with lots of opportunities. As an NIT, it has a brand value as well.

Here are my experiences as a former student of MANIT Bhopal-

Cons

  1. The college infrastructure is constantly improving. However, the hostels are in a poor condition, and lack proper sanitation and maintenance.
  2. The college dispensary doesn’t remain open most of the time, and the college ambulance is the only relief for sick or injured students.
  3. The college has good sports facilities. The basketball court, football ground, cricket ground, and athletics ground are all well maintained. Apart from that, the campus also offers a badminton court, a table tennis arena, and a gym. But unfortunately at times, senior students try to dominate selections, and manipulate their juniors.
  4. Freshers, at least for the first sem, have no access to gyms and other sports facilities outside of their designated hostel blocks. The seniors punish freshers for accessing other campus facilities like Amul Parlour or Mata Mandir.
  5. The mess food is of poor quality.
  6. The college administration suffers from internal politics by senior students and influential faculty members.

Pros

  1. You can easily score good grades in exams.
  2. The night canteens are affordable.
  3. The huge campus is a great place to roam around, and Mata Mandir is the best hangout spot.
  4. The great Banyan tree has seen batches come in and move out of the campus. This spot is tied with numerous memories.
  5. MANIT Bhopal has various societies like literary, cultural, dramatics, technical, research, go green forums, and much more.

Though the college has a lot of problems, it is still a great place to realize your potential, and build long lasting connections. You’ll get good placement opportunities, and all the necessary facilities. Just remember to not be disheartened by its negative aspects.
