As per the data released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), as many as 7,68,414 were registered for all the papers in CUET PG 2024 of which 5,77,400 appeared for the test.

There has been a decrease in registrations from the previous year. In the 2023 edition, 5,39,776 of the 8,77,492 registered candidates appeared in the exam. While in the 2022 edition, just 3,34,997 of the 6,07,648 registered candidates appeared in the exam. CUET PG 2024 was done in 44 shifts, which is 16 less shifts than the previous year, according to NTA statistics.

CUET PG 2024 was conducted at 572 different centres spread over 262 cities, including nine outside of India, from March 11 to March 23 and then on March 27 and 28.

How many students appeared for CUET PG 2024?

According to data shared by the National Testing Agency (NTA), female registrations have exceeded that of men, continuing the pattern from the previous year. This year, 247990 female candidates, 214587 male candidates, and nine registrations under the third gender category made up the total of 462586 registrations.

In 2022, there were 249332 female candidates, more than the 209740 male candidates and the 11 candidates from the third gender group combined. However, in the first year of the CUET PG, there was a little increase in the total number of male applicants (305478) compared to the total number of female registrants (30215), indicating that the same trend was not seen.

With a total of 99,717 registrations, Uttar Pradesh led the state list in terms of registrations, followed by Delhi with 65,275, Kerala with 30,462, Bihar with 28,181, and Odisha with 20,873 registrations.
