So each semester there are 1 final examination and 3(2 theoretical+ 1 practicals) examinations. The 3 examinations accumulate for your internals and also for the end semester exams. The difficulties depend on courses as each course is based on exposure. The faculties in my department of journalism are very friendly and good I like Prof. neelambari ma'am as she's the friendliest and knows where to be strict

Campus Life:

Good, the natural aspect acts as a detox from the stress and the clubs are fun too the college is filled with events as each department has its own events and workshops which makes it more fun to enjoy the college life plus there are students from all over the country which makes it diverse yet United

The faculty ratio of the students to faculty is around hundred students per one teacher. The best faculties have to be Surya Sankar Sen Who was my political science teacher as well as the class mentor. He had a great vocabulary and insight on Greek politics. He was also a very kind teacher who could be approached by students for resolving issues with other teachers. Another one is Miss Harini Madhusuban Who taught us conflict and peace studies,a kind teacher who was very considerate of the students attendance and always remembered each and every students name. Another one of the teacher is my current international relations, teacher, Mr. Areesh Kumar Who is always pushing students towards the many opportunities of international conferences as well as paper presentations. A teacher, I didn't like would be Somaiah sir from political science department who got agitated quickly. There are two exams per semester. One is internals & Second is Endsems. And they're quite easy.

Campus Life:

The most popular fest at our college is the Pratibha held mostly during the month of February. The first lasts for three days and covers Dance performance, DJ , Comedy skits As well as different food stalls put up by students as well as others. Another fest is swagath Which is basically a freshers day for the first years held during August Where is students dress up in fancy outfits to celebrate their first year. The library has access to a wide range of books and also has a digital library. The attendance can be easily tracked through the website, which shows the number of classes missed per day or overall. A wide range of sports facilities are provided like basketball court, football played in the field as well as table tennis. The student council comprising of the elected candidates is the largest student run social group and they manage the fest and events at the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and as of my department the curriculum is so nice and kinda has many practical applications, still in my point of view I guess the written exam curriculum could be more relevant to the new media, it is mostly based on history, history is good.... Tbh I love 'em still it is mostly based on history and it could be better if it also suits the modern era

Internships Opportunities:

So... in our department no companies come and volunteer to give internships but students have to search for internships on their own, this is kinda nice only but it would be better if college provides internships, cos not everyone can get their own internships, some people need a headstart but it is not provided

The teachers are very chill in my department, they are very understanding and opem tto whatever we have to say about anything. They give us the full freedom to express our feelings in blog posts or journalism assignments. In the international relations, the teachers are very helpful when it comes to daily life problems or even the studies. Overall, my experience has been great except the harrasment I went through and college authorities took 7 8 months to get it sorted which really impacted me bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I took that is journalism, its really good and I feel the teachers are very interactive. Our teachers criticize our reports and blogs in a way that tells us what changes are needed in our writing and skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I loved talking right from when I was a child . So after 10th I thought of choosing something apart from MBBS and Engineering for my career. That is how I ended up in Journalism. The curriculum is like 40% practical and 60% theory which gives us exposure on how to be in the real world.

Campus Life:

There are n number of club and sahaya activities apart from academics. Sports, and other cultural activities are given full support in the college. There are lot of programmes happening in and around the college on a daily basis. Students also do side business in college.

The variation of career options in this field amused me to choose journalism and mass communication. The knowledge seeking environment keeps me encouraged to prepare myself for real world applications. The practical methods must be improvised and more focus should be on the skills of the student.

Campus Life:

The campus life is quite great. The environment is also good there. Cultural programs are often conducted by the college. During my course there was KK, Fakira, Sonu Nigam on the stage. I got to watch them live only because of the college. The college also has a library. Various sports events are also conducted. Classrooms are descent. There is also a gym in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is moderate. I opt for this course as I am preparing for competitive exams side by side. There is 1:30 or 40 ration between the faculty and students. Faculties are well qualified and also descent in behaviour vise. The term exams conducted by Calcutta University are on a timely basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took psychology and journalism because I was already into psychology and wanted to do more of it and I took journalism too to dig deep into the media world. Usually, the psychology department has more teachers than journalism. Teaching is good but again it varies from teacher to teacher. The tests are usually at a medium level tough at times but sometimes they are easy.

Placement Experience:

Usually the highest package received was for students from BBA/bcom but others don't really have many options for placements. For placements, students become eligible from 3rd or 4th year depending on your course. The percentage doesn't really matter, all they require are proper etiquette skills as said by the BBA teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a well know fact that M.O.P is one of the reputable colleges in Chennai and it offers the best quality education. I chose this course since the college provides the best class curriculum and exposure. Journalism in MOP is always popular in and around Chennai. The college provides an exclusive course curriculum focusing mainly on real world scenarios. The college provides well trained and educated faculties. The Head of the Journalism Department is a Doctorate and other faculties also are two plus degree holders with exemptional training skills. The strength of each class is around 70. And the number of teachers for the Journalism Department is around 6. though the number of faculties is less in number the quality of education is not compromised. The teaching methods are very interactive and classes are mostly thought with presentations and case studies. The Internals and main exams are conducted as per the schedule and the exam corrections will be strict and not lenient.

Campus Life:

The college conducts yearly main cultural events called Jhankar and other subcultural events like Abilasha, ethnic day and Vish. The college has a reasonably big library with a wide range of books with categories ranging from fiction, non-fiction, motivational, self help books and historical books. Every classroom on the campus is enabled with an LCD projector, whiteboard, mic system, sound system, speaker, a small podium and CCTV cameras. The campus gives a wide range of opportunities for students who are interested in sports. there is a separate quota called sports quota exclusively for students who are excelling in the sports field. The college conducts MOP MUN(Model United Nations) conference every year which is a replica of the UN conference at the students' level. The college has various clubs like language club, rotary club, interact club and etc., The students of journalism also run a college news magazine called "INK" where students publish their own articles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this field because it provides diversity in generating content, reports, and news for any field one finds interest in. One of the main reasons is also that journalism is a very broad field containing a lot of diversified job preferences including print media, electronic media & so on. We have a strength of total of 60 students. The faculties are really highly qualified & due to pandemics, we are currently getting taught digitally. Journalism is the only course which has an annual pattern & hence we only have 3 exams throughout this program of 3 years of BA. Yet, the exams are genuinely tough as it does contain a lot of general knowledge & current affair issues with history & background of media & and the advancements have taken place in this field.

Internships Opportunities:

Recently we got an internship offer in the government department at the media cell of South Central Zone Cultural Center, Nagpur and they really made sure that we've a good experience out of it. However, they did not provide us stipend but the internship was worthy enough to be done. Many other event management companies and printing departments offer the internship a regular basis to us. Recently the Flairs & Glairs publication is hiring interns at digital mode with assured stipend upto 1500/- per month depending upon our performance. But whatsoever be the internship, we are sure to get the certificate at its end with a remark about our performance & assuring that we devoted a particular period of time to their work offered.
