NIBM Pune PGDM Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA awarded by any Recognised University.
- Candidates who are in their final year or are waiting for their result can also apply but they need to produce a certificate at the time of OCT and PI.
- A valid score in CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/GRE.
NIBM Pune PGDM Selection Process
NIBM Pune provides admission to candidates on the following basis:
- The institute shortlists students based on the CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/GRE score.
- The shortlisted applicants are further called for Written Ability Test and Personal Interview round at respective exam centers.
- The institute will release the list of selected candidates
- Finally, all the selected students have to confirm the acceptance by sending an email at the official website by remitting INR 1,00,000 towards the program.
- On the other hand the wait-listed candidates will be offered admission in the order as mentioned in the wait-list in case there is any vacancy arising from the selected candidates.
NIBM Pune PGDM Admission 2024: How to Apply?
All the eligible students need to fill the application form which will be available online. The admission body advises to fill the form very carefully and not to miss any field. Check the steps to fill the application form beneath:
- Go to the official website.
- Click on “PGDM”, then select the “Admission” tab.
- Apply Online through the official website. Direct Link to apply here
- Create a New Account or login if you already have one.
- Fill in all the required details in the application form in the specified fields.
- After completing the form, upload scanned images of documents such as photograph and signature.
- Once the form is filled, pay the application fee.
- Lastly, click on the “Submit” button.

Nibm offers career in BFSI sector in core finance jobs. Therefore I joined nibm to have a focused career in finance. I converted baby IIMs as well but due to finance focus and RBI ties K chose NIBM.zz

- The highlight at NIBM is the curriculum. It's a niche course, not many colleges offer such course in our country. NIBM is really a leader in banking and finance domain.
- The placement here is 100% since inception. Also the roles and companies in which students get placed are highly reputable. Few of our regular recruiters are Barclays, Tata Capitals, PwC, KPMG, IDBI Bank, Federal Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of America etc.
- The campus is really beautiful. It's a 60 acre green campus, home to many flaura & fauna. The facilities are wonderful. You have all sorts of amenities here at your disposal.
Dislikes
- I would appreciate if NIBM could diversify on thier placements by including a wider range of companies to cater to diverse student interest.
- The course is heavily inclined to Banking and Finance, so if someone is interested in Banking and Finance then only he should think about NIBM. Otherwise he can have a difficult time here.
Admission:
Actually I didn't apply for any other college. I applied to NIBM only and got in. The reason I opted this college is because of the Course they are providing. I have always intrigued by the finance world. Also Banking and Finance are backbone of any country. NIBM is an Institute established of RBI so it speaks volume about the quality of education they must be providing. Also I talked to few of the students who were already here even they recommended it highly. So I felt confident about NIBM & went for it.
Admission process:
I came through CMAT, but you can also opt for this college via CAT, XAT & GRE. Cut off is 94 %ile (CAT, XAT, GRE) & 98.5%ile (CMAT).
After clearing the cut off you have to sit for Extempore and PI. Once you clear all these levels then only you get a chance in NIBM.

National Institute of Bank Management is an apex institute set up and governed by RBI, The Institute is engaged in Research (policy and operations), Training & Education of senior executives of banks and provides Consulting support to the banking and financial sector, getting into such college is something like dream coming true. The college guarantees 100% placements and looking at the 2021 placement even after the pandemic the college was successful in securing 100% placement. The average salary went around 10.03 LPA and the highest was 22LPA, 50% of the candidate got an average of 12.09 LPA. Overall the college is very good in terms of placement and infrastructure and should not be given a second thought before taking admissions.

I have applied to the Institute of Financial Management and Research Chennai, goa institute of management, great lakes institute of management Chennai,welingkar Mumbai and Bangalore etc.
I have not availed any quota because there is not any quota available for students till last year but this year they are providing reservations according to Indian govt rules.
Criteria for securing admission into the National Institute of Bank Management is very complex. First, the candidate needs to clear the entrance exam like CAT / XAT / CMAT ..Cut off for the Cat/xat/cmat were 80/80/95 till last year but this year cut off was changed due to the new reservation policy of the college. After clearing the cutoff Candidate need to appear for the Group discussion round and personal interview round.
After clearing all three rounds the candidate will be offered admission into the institute. There were not any limitations as far as age is concerned. If you have a bachelor degree you are eligible.

I am inclined towards the BFSI sector, and NIBM offers PGDM in Banking and Financial Services under the supervision of RBI and is known for 100 percent placement since its inception.
Usually, RBI Governor acts as a chairman of the NIBM governing board.

The admission process in National Institute of Bank Management has 3 stages which includes written exam, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). First you have take the written exam, the form will be available from the month of November till January end. Once shortlisted, you will be called for Group Discussion (GD).Due to COVID the Group discussion process was cancelled. I attended the personal interview round. Most of the question will be asked from your resume and some questions from the current news including basic terms used in banking field or banking sector. Overall the interview questions are well balanced.

NIBM is a very reputed college in Pune and I had good knowledge in Banking and finance sector
Competition is always too much to grab a seat but if you are competent you'll get it so that's what I did and my passion took me here The best thing about the college is industry exposure as well as the experienced faculty.

I always wanted to pursue finance and specially banking so this is the best college in India that provides education on Banking and Financial services. I gave CAT entrance exam and cleared a specified percentile for a call from the Institute after that the Institute follows the process of further admission through Written Ability test and Personal Interview which I cleared and finally got admission into the college.

I was quite intrigued about learning the nitigrity of banking in detail. Thus NIBM is the only institute that has always been in the top in providing the knowledge, learning and experience in the banking. I gave CMAT in January 2019, score 96 percentile and got the call from NIBM. I was interviewed at NIBSCOM delhi by the well knowledgeable faculties of NIBM and finally got it convereted. The day I reached NiBm it was and is beautiful, the beauty of the campus is always missed in this lockdown. The curriculum is way ahead. Faculties are quite experienced and helpful.
