SIIB Placement

SIIB Pune conducted its placement drive for the 2023-24  batch. Recruiters like Axis Bank, KPMG, Accenture, EY, Infosys etc participated in the placement process. Students received the highest CTC package of INR 39 LPA. The average CTC package stood at INR 13.12 LPA for the MBA International Business students, INR 11.54 LPA for the MBA Energy & Environment students, and INR 10.66 LPA for the MBA Agri Business students. The median salary stood at INR 14.30 LPA, INR 10.91 LPA & INR 11 LPA for MBA-International Business, MBA-Agri Business & MBA-Energy & Environment 2023-24 batches respectively.

During the summer internship placement drive for the 2022-24 batch, the highest stipend of INR 1.65 Lakhs per month was offered to the students. The average stipend stood at INR 60.17 K per month was offered to the MBA Energy & Environment students, INR 29.64K per month for the MBA Agri Business students & INR 47.57K per month for the International Business students. Students got internship opportunities from recruiters like Asian Paints, Cummins India, Crisil, ADAMA India etc.

Admission:

The admission process comprised of the SNAP Test, followed by the GD-PI Process. The cut-off for Symbiosis Institute of International Business was somewhere between 88-90 percentile. Eligibility Criteraia: Student needs to appear for the SNAP Exam. They should have completed their Graduation or must be in the Final Year of their Graduation. Application forms are available on the college website on the homepage. Once you complete the snap test and get through the cut-off, you are sent a GD-PI Call Letter. Then, you have the option to choose your preferred date and time slot for the GD-PI process. (The process is conducted Online) Next, during the GD-PI process, there are volunteers available to guide and help through the process. It is conducted in a very smooth and efficient manner. Finally, if you are selected, you are sent an admission letter, wherein you need to pay the 1st Semester fees as a confirmation of acceptance before the Program Commencement date of the college.

Smooth and transparent. It was conducted on a merit basis and was a single day procedure. Results were declared within a month. GD topics were mixed- Current Affairs/General Issues/Business Affairs. Interview was based on current business knowledge, know how of technology and few subject related questions.

Admission:

Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune is affiliated with Symbiosis International University provides excellent courses to pursue your career in International Business. It offers 2-year full-time MBA residential courses in International Business, Agri-Business and Energy and Environment. Guidance and mentorship from industry experts and professionals provided me with an extra edge to decide on my career path. The admission to this college is through the SNAP exam. The aspirant has to fill the college admission form for SIIB separately while filling up the SNAP form. Then based on the SNAP scores, shortlisted students are called to the campus for group discussion and personal interview rounds. And the final confirmation will be sent to the selected candidate. The forms for SNAP are rolled out in October and the exam happens in December or January, a post that results are rolled out in March and admission process at the campus is held in April-May and regular classes commences in June.

The course is very similar to General Management itself, apart from a few subjects like the International Trade business, Trade Forex, Export Import, International Marketing and so on. The college has Agribusiness and Energy and Environment courses too with exemplary placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of first and second semester is quite extensive where there were 16 and 14 subjects respectively. So, the exams used to happen for at least 3 weeks.The Exams And Labs were Very Frequent Leaving You With A Hectic Day and we urgently needed sleep once the exams were over.

Recreational Facilities: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune infrastructure boasts a recreational centre that provides activities to promote physical well-being, relaxation, and a healthy lifestyle. Some of the recreational facilities available in the SIBM Pune are: Gym Bicycle facilities Yoga Aerobics Zumba. On campus sports and recreation facilities are some of the best and offer many outdoor recreation options for all. SIIB boast of 13 indoor and outdoor fitness centres ,Tennis Courts, Basketball courts, Volleyball Courts, Futsal Courts, Football Field, Cricket Field, Indoor Badminton Hall, Squash Courts, Gymnasiums, Swimming Pools, Yoga and Aerobic studios and offer many group classes, Coaching facilities, Yoga for rejuvenation and stress management and options to participate in outbound programs and competitions at all levels. Standard Fitness tests are conducted every year to have a base level understanding of Physical Fitness standards of all students, faculty and staff, analyse data, suggest interventions and offer free counselling and personal training.?

Students from SIU Institutes on Semester exchange program at Deakin and Macquarie University with the advantage of transfer of credits earned. India-Australia relations are set to become stronger in recent times; Higher Education has always played a dominant role with a large student outflow from India. Both Countries have introduced initiatives like Colombo Plan, Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF). Symbiosis students can attend Summer School, with transfer of credit.  SIIB started a credit exchange programme with BSEL, Germany with an objective to add the dimension of Consulting in the international context to the existing MBA programme in International business. Under this programme, selected students complete 2 semesters at BSEL, in International Business & Consulting [International Strategic Management]. In the year 2016, SIIB started a semester exchange programme with Dauphine University, Paris, France. In the year 2018, SIIB started a semester exchange programme with Leeds Beckett University, UK. In the year 2019, SIIB started a semester exchange program with RUDN university, Russia. Selected students would spend one semester approximately form March to July in RUDN University, Russia. In the year 2019, SIIB started a summer school exchange programme with University of British Columbia. In the year 2016, SIIB started a semester exchange programme with Lisbon School of Economics & Management, Portugal and many more are there.
