The course curriculum is totally good. Teachers give education with real world examples while studying. So, this is normal that they will take a serious exam and it is difficult. There is don't need to correction of this course.

I always wanted to do my higher studies related to biology. And microbiology is the best of all . But one thing it would be really better if our faculty members gives us more practical classes and extra classes like all the other departments

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.

Microbiology is a blooming subject although it would be fair to say that you would get a better job if you pursue your profession career abroad (UK USA)but with the upcoming of various biotechnological startups the demand of microbiologists is increasing at a farely high rate. You can pursue your career in the food industry and quality check industry with very high paying jobs Microbiology is a practical based subject and during your 4 year course you'll be taught the several methods of culturing bacteria ,viral assay and so many more real life technique So basically the 4 year degree is bsc microbiology consists of 8 semester .Each semester is of 6 months each until and unless some very genuine problem arises.Though the difficulty of the university exams is not that high but the checking is very strict.you must be thorough with your syllabus and be in touch with the subject and the syllabus .if you're consistent you will score good

I like zoology so I took the course. The student ratio is boys : girls is 10:28. The teachers are very helpful. The semester take place after evey 6 months. The examination is moderate. One can easy pass if he or she study 1 month before exam.

The overall syllabus of B.Sc. Maths Hons. under CU is not at all student-friendly. And the faculty members of the Scottish Church aren't either. Quality study time at college is below par. It's mostly the student's effort that helps him/her pass the semesters.

Scottish Church College Botany Department faculties are one of the best faculties of CU. Teachet-students bonding is quite impressive. Professors are so down to earth. Theory classes as well as Lab work are so good. From here a student can get a healthy atmosphere for studying.
