Course Description
The college offers online mode of application for the candidates for UG and PG courses. Candidates can pay the application fees either through bank deposit challan or through online mode.
How to Apply
- Visit the official website of the college and click on Academics tab.
- Click on Admissions tab and then click on the link given for online application at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the tab for the course you wish to apply for, fill the form online and upload the recent passport size photograph of 3.5 x 4.5 cm in jpg/png/gif format with not more than 50 kb size. Click on submit.
- For B.Ed., candidates have an option to pay the fees either through challan or through online mode.
- In case of bank challan, take a print out of unique application number and two-part bank deposit challan and tender the application fees by cash using Bank Deposit Challan at HDFC Bank, Moulali Branch.
- Candidates can check the application status online three days after remitting application fees in the Bank.
- Candidate can later print the filled in application form by entering Date of Birth and Application Number.

- Receipt of Application Fees and filled in Online Application form
- Original and attested copies of HSC Marksheet/Certificate
- Original and attested copies of Marksheets
- Original and attested copies of Age Proof
- Payment Receipt of Submission of Application Form
- Equivalence Certificate from Calcutta University for candidates outside West Bengal Universities
- Two copies of recent stamp-size photograph
- Original and attested copies of PwD Certificate, if applicable
- Original and attested copies of Baptism/Confirmation Certificate and Membership Certificate for Christian candidates
- Proof of Nationality of parent/candidate – Original
- Income Certificate to validate annual income
Course Details
The college offers BA, B.Sc., B.Com and BBA (Hons) programs at UG level with various specializations. The duration of the undergraduate programs is 3 years.
The candidates who qualified (the previous qualifying examination) in the current year (i.e. year of admission) are preferred to those that passed theirs earlier.

Admission to B.Sc Physics will be granted on the basis of Entrance test conducted by the University. The Entrance test will be conducted only for candidates belonging to General Category.
BA/B.SC/B.Com Selection Process: Admission BA, B.Sc and B.Com courses will be granted on the basis of Merit of last qualifying examination.
The College allows candidates aiming for the undergraduate courses in Sanskrit or Philosophy to report for direct admission after applying online and paying the application fees.
BBA (Hons.) Selection Process: BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), where an entrance test is conducted followed by GD & PI (Group Discussion & Personal Interview).

Course Curriculum Overview:
The college is affiliated to Calcutta University and hence follows the curriculum provided by them. Scottish Church College is one of the few colleges which follow it diligently and syllabus is always completed on time and regular internal evaluation takes place. The teacher student ratio is 1:6. The reason for choosing B.Sc. in computer science is because it provides an entry in the technical world. Internal exams were at par with the standard of semester exams and challenging.

I have chosen Computer Science because i have a keen interest in it and further i want to join IT sector. The faculty:student ratio is 1:5. The faculty is very good. The teachers are either MSc. Or Phd. The method of teaching is quite with understandable lectures. After every 6 months we have end sem exams.

As compared to other science stream subjects like PHY, chem and maths I thought comp will be a good choice. 5 teachers are there for 27 students They are highly qualified and very friendly. They take class tests once a week and it's not that tough but CU is tough

I choose this course because of passion towards Computer Science and programming. Through the curriculum of this course, I will get a deep knowledge about both the hardware working and software working of Computer and also learn about many programming languages. The student to teacher ratio is 30:1 in our department. Most of the teachers are very friendly and are extremely helpful in both academics and personal problems. Especially , our HOD sir is very knowledgable and kind and extremely co-operative. All teachers hold Masters degree either MSC or MCA. One of them even hold Phd degree. The teaching method are quite good except few but that can be manageable by a little extra effort for the student side. The Semester exams are held timely and being CU ( Calcutta University ) paper, it is quite difficult to score high marks but with the new CBCS system, papers have become a bit easier and passing has also become quite easier now.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The teachers are worth praising due to the efforts that they put in explaining and grooming a student. We do not need any tuitions after what they teach. They observe individual students if they are having any problem with the topic and never gets tired of explaining one topic over and over again.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
Most courses are government aided except few courses like Bachelor's of Computer science, Bachelor's of business Administration, Bachelor's of Commerce, Bachelor's of Microbiology, Bachelor's of Botany, Bachelor's of Zoology.

For some of the department like computer science,bba, bcom the fees structure is high. But for other departments the fees structure is very low and easily affordable. There are also differnt types of scholarship available

Fee structure is according to me quiet expensive. They charge money in every aspect starting from college admission fee to fresher's party. And the excursion fee is too much and unnecessary. According to their standard it is useless. Other colleges provide same kind of facilities in a very low price.
