Campus Life:

The campus life is excellent with aspects of student doing anything they excel at . There are various clubs (dance, singing, fashion, etc.) which provides ample of opportunities and even recruitment to different industries. The college provides opportunities in sports too which includes football, cricket, basketball, rowing, boxing and various other sports (indoor games included) for both boys and girls. There is no student politics in the campus.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio is 45-50:1 so it's really good providing ample one is to one interaction with the teachers. The faculties are highly qualified and provide home like feeling to the students. Personal number of the treachers are given to students for further problems faced by them. Students can contact teachers during there free time too. Teachers go the extra step to help students often providing extra classes during exams too.

There are various festivals and celbration of programs. There are various fests which are celebrated by each departments. There are every required book type which we need for specialisation in the couse. There is a separate lab for computers where students do their assignments and gather information. There are good facility of sports like football, cricket, indoor games like chess, carrom.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fee is very nominal for 4years hons. Degree. It is 26000 for 4 years. The availability of resources are far more as compared to the fee structure. The economically weaker section have a benefit as they get compensation on fees and they give a lower amount compared to other syudents. The campus is very good. They have various programs where we actively participate.

In my case, our course is very affordable. We paid 2,000 as a admission fees.and if you above 60% on your H.S.Exam so you will also get 12,000 per year as a scholarship by West Bengal government.there are very less chance to get any job by campus.

Faculty:

Faculty is one of the strongest pillar of maharaja Manindra chandra college. In Bcom(H), faculty is really well trained.A single teacher is able to take a 100 students class.as well as they teach us with very good examples.

As I am not also doing a job through college placement, I am unable to tell you in deep about the process of recruitment but big companies have arrived at college such as TCS, Amazon, Wipro, etc. In extracurricular activities there are many things, our college sometimes organizes programs, and sometimes we participate in other colleges' programs which are very exciting. Books related to the course can be issued.

Placement Experience:

Company visits our college for recruitment of students from 4th semester but they are eligible for an internship after passing the course. There are 3 -4 companies which provide job opportunities on a regular basis in our college. There are 20% of students get placement but around 3% of students only do jobs through college placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The major aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is that I'm very interested in commerce. That's why I chose bcom for my bachelors degree. It gives me a lot of knowledge and helps my skills to improve in this subject. The curriculum prepares the students in different ways of the commerce industries, whether it should be the tax department cost department accounts department and various job roles are also there. I would suggest the staffs to provide some kind of practical trainings to the students for which they can learn and understand the things which are going in the Market. I don't think that the frequency and timing of exams is an issue. Ofcourse, all college have their rights to conduct their exams in their own way. That's what make colleges different from others

Campus Life:

The college provides a freshers party known as AU revoir which happens every year for the new students. The library is also well equipped with different kinds of books and materials and the range of the books are quite minimal. You can get easily the books which you wanted. The facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms are not so good and they are also not cleaned enough. The college sometimes provide the sports and extracurricular activities as it is not a regular thing in the college. Also, there is also a gym room in the college for the students. The gym is offered in different timings according to different shifts.

Placement Experience:

The semester students of their respective streams are informed about the placements via official whatsapp group. From second year onwards we can give interview on the visited companies like TCS , Bharat matrimony and are informed about job fairs with companies like Unilever, unifound. The students who are interested give it a try and they can get the placement if they are eligible. I have only attended a job fair and it was an average experience as the recruiters emphasized on clearing the semester first. I'm in 6th semester currently.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I came to know about this college from few of my relatives that this is a reputed college and it focuses on academics. I think that the college should have a holistic approach on completing the syllabus and improve in this area. The IT/e-filing practical classes are good. We have internal exams in which more than half of the syllabus has to be prepared for just 10-20 marks internals which I think is good since we get to practice and makes us prepared for our main exam.

Faculty:

Most of the students pursue CA and CS professional courses in their college time and do not appear in classes. This gives students a very good opportunity to students to talk to professors and tell them about their problems. The faculty members' approach to teaching is a bit different, they are very frank and mostly all of them have the same nature of understanding where the students might have a problem, they will teach that topic in greater depth and with better real-life examples. Qualifications of faculty members are something to gaze upon again and again, all the teachers either have their master's or PhD done from very reputed universities in the world including the Harvard School of Graduates and IIMs. We have a huge Library where books for all the semester and for all the students are available and teachers are present every day according to a schedule to help you with any doubts that arise.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are really good, companies like kpmg, deloitte and E&Y are regular visitors of the placement hall and have good packages but they have limited job roles, the most being the tax consultant. Although not all the students get to sit in the placement due to 2 reasons. 1. They might pursue CA and CS or CMA. And it might be that their articleship will be going on at that time. 2. They might have back papers. This sounds a bit odd, but having back papers in Calcutta University is a common site. Believe it or not B.Com in Calcutta University is much tougher than other universities.

The events held in our colleges are like festivals for the students from Freshers to Farewells. My personal favourite is the Holi of our college. Moreover speaking about the library it it quite huge when it comes to the range of books. The library of our college has got everything from Literature to Botany to Taxation. There are a lot of clubs in our college for the geeky ones as well as those who get bored of the hostel Life quite often.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fees of our college is very minimal compared to the fees of other private colleges of our city who just charge fees by showing their infrastructure and lavish campuses. If we take into consideration the scholarships provided by the university, the fees gets reduced by 50% more.

There's no such thing called clubs in our college and I think in most of the CU colleges. Very few co-curricular activities are undertaken that too the faculties don't support it. I remember when I took part in inter College dance competition I had a major loss of attendance. No grace was provided by the college for the same. The infrastructure in also very poor. The fan in our classroom makes very much noise which disturbs us while studying. There's no such dance room or seoarate rooms for other activities. We don't have a play ground as well.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The complete cost of my college education is around 7-10k per year. There are alot of scholarships like akhyashree, Anil Chandra Gupta Memorial Studentship, Bhupendranath Memorial Scholarship, Nalinakhya Dutta Stipend and kanyashree. There was this notice from CU that it's compulsory for all students to do an internship conducted by the college during summer vacations but till now we haven't got any notice from the college side regarding the same. Many of my friends studying in different CU colleges have already completed the internships.

They're supportive and give some really good advices on education and career with their experiences.

Financial aid is only provided to students who are Gujarati as it's a Gujarati run college. There are many job opportunities and internships available by the college .

Course Curriculum Overview:

My aim was to join the course of chartered accountant from ICAI which is a post graduate course and taking bcom hons from CU was a good decision as after completing my bcom graduation I got exempted from my CA foundation and also gained good knowledge As per real world application it's not much as the course lacks in self development in verbal conversation, leadership, etc which is a good requirements in these days job interviews A lot improvement can be made because this course is mostly theory oriented and lacks a lot of real life applications.... Ability of conversation on an unknown topic, skills to lead a team, tackling problems on real life basis, diversification of language and computer skills would be a great change and a good opportunity for the students As this is a completely theory oriented course so all the time we had to sit and study for written exams to score marks and for that the time was quiet less only 3 - 4 months before an exam, having 6 semesters and it's hard

Campus Life:

Many events are organised including sports and welcome events for each newcomers group but no such specific names are there. Library was moderately populated not all the books were available to our need some books were worn out and very old , all the books were not properly updated.... Over all I can give a 3 out of 6 as a rating. Wodden seats , some were broken typical government college ni such improvement in technologies in classroom worn out black board and chalk to write on Sports is a good ground of our college good players can get a chance to play at state level or district level No such impact of social infulencers Or content creators all are same students, no such benifit is provided for them

Ans. Chartered Accountancy is an altogether dynamic profession that allows individuals to exercise their acumen in the areas of accounting, auditing, corporate finance, and corporate governance. To provide greater support to such a multifaceted program, IGNOU has brought up a special course named B.Com Accounting & Finance degree for CA students. The details about the program are as follows. Admission: The program can be completed within a minimum period of 3 years while the registration stands valid for 6 years. No re-registration fees are required. For students who have cleared the first stage of CA, the time will be automatically reduced. The fee structure for the program is as follows. Indian Students Rs. 7200 Foreign Students From SAARC Countries- Rs. 11000 From Non-SAARC Countries- US $ 1000 The fee is payable along with the application form and is appropriately valid for 3 years. Eligibility: The mandatory criterion stands at 10+2 or equivalent. Candidates who passed the common proficiency test from ICAI are also eligible. Candidates passed or registered in professional competence courses: are also eligible. Program Structure: The program is credit-based and consists of 96 credits whereby 32 credits are provided by IGNOU while 64 credits are given to ICAI. IGNOU provides 6 courses from the entire curriculum and it is exercised properly through the IGNOU system. Program Resources: The course is delivered both in Hindi & English. Printed course material is provided to candidates through their respective mediums. A/v sessions are also provided. Evaluation Criterion: The evaluation is done similar to other courses by consolidating the marks obtained in different parts by the individual. The score obtained in 4 parts will be added to determine your division. Advantages: The major merit that underlies this course is that the individual will be exposed to a dual degree after completion of the course. The degree itself is from IGNOU fosters a full reputation and goodwill. The time limit is also quite flexible. IGNOU adds its special facilities to the coursework. Disadvantages: The eligibility criterion is the mandatory qualification of CPE. CA performance gets linked with degree performance. 6 subjects provided by IGNOU are theoretical leading to certain problems for individuals preferring practical subjects. ● Top Answer By Kashish Yaduvanshi on 31 Mar 23

Ans. Some basic details of the BCom program from SRM Institute of Science and Technology are  Particulars  Data Duration 3 years Course Level UG Degree Total Tuition Fees INR 3.90 Lakh Total Seats 130 Qualification  12th CBSE Entry Criteria 50%  Candidates must have passed in 10+2 (Accountancy & Commerce Mandatory) with mentioned marks from any recognised board. Median CTC  INR 2.5 Lakh Highest CTC  INR 41.6 Lakh Top Recruiters  ACCENTURE | Biocon | canon | DATA PATTERNS | GODREJ | HONEYWELL | just dial | Samsung | Tech Mahindra Some more details about the University are Infrastructure : The college has decent infrastructural facilities with great importance to sports and extracurricular activities Academics : Honestly, this is where the Institute lacks. The staff delivers robotic knowledge without any lively classroom discussions making the learning experience monotonous. Placements : The placement cell of the college works pretty hard to maintain a decent placement scenario and students with good academic performance usually get good packages.  ROI: Another aspect I feel one should consider is the ROI which is low in case of SRM. The fees are extremely high in comparison to the academic standards but the surety of placements makes people choose it anyway. Campus Life : You get to experience amazing college life with lots of creative activities and new things to learn. Ultimately it’s you who decides whether a certain college is right for you or not, so do your part of the research and make a wise decision.Read more

Here are some facts about it: Classes start here at 6:30 AM, this gives time to do internships later in the day. St, Joseph Bangalore is a bit expensive compared to other courses but the global exposure offered is beneficial for your career.  The placements are conducted at the end of the year and various companies recruit students from this campus.  Admission process starts with a written aptitude test followed by an interview.  The hostels in St. Joseph’s College are affordable compared to others. They do not provide food as there are almost 10 food joints around the campus.  The faculty is highly experienced. Most of them are visiting faculty.  This course gives students a global aspect of accounting. It includes various fields of the business like entrepreneurship and finance specialization. The exam structure is divided equally between end-semester papers, CIAs, and mid-semester papers.
