Is civil engineering in LNCT Bhopal a good choice?

LNCT is one of the best private colleges in Madhya Pradesh yet, pursuing civil engineering is futile. Following are the reasons for the same: The placement scenario for core branches is very bad. Hardly, any core company visits for recruitment. Even if they do, only 2-3 students are recruited. You have to look for a job on your own. Not many opportunities are provided for civil engineering. The department offers less practical knowledge and more theoretical knowledge. The faculty members are not good at the college and the labs are not fully equipped. LNCT Bhopal has a rule for 75% attendance which will only waste your time. You won't be able to prepare for competitive exams like GATE till the 3rd year. Preparing for these exams will be very hectic. Less attendance means fewer sessional marks which will degrade your CGPA. LNCT Bhopal is not a good option if you are looking for a career in engineering. You will have to manage your studies on your own.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee hike policies are not good in this college this college suddenly increases the fees by about 20000 this year and also the bus fees are included in the college fees which is compulsory and cannot be eliminated. I didn't get any scholarship because I am from the general category.

The fee structure is 1.5 lakh per annum and hostel fees and other expenses are additional. Scholarship opportunities are available but it's only for category students. If you are among the top three students in jee mains score then you'll get a fee waiver here.

About LNCT

My fees for civil Engineering per year were 1 lakh 10 thousand. There was no fee hike policy and they never hike their fees. They will give you a brochure at the time of admission that your fees will be this and that will continue to last semester. As I come from minorities community I have got a minority scholarship from the state govt. I have got a job in 2 companies from lnct but for personal reasons, I haven't joined.

If you getting CS or IT go for LNCT

Fees are pretty decent if you compare them with other private engineering colleges in different states. You can avail of caste-based scholarships as MP govt's criteria. Placement cells do a great job in terms of opportunities provided given the size of the batch.

LNCT College - The dream of every engineering student

I belong to the general quota so I don't know or aware of any scholarships for general students but they are providing scholarships to sc, st students who are eligible for scholarships. Campus selection is good in college.

Know before you go.

You may call LNCT expensive I guess as fees for a year, of civil engineering, is 1,13,000. That means 4,52,000 for the complete course as engineering is a 4 years course. Scholarships are available too. It's just that you need to have knowledge about it already.

Expensive about one lahk four thousand for 1 year including bus fees and about 40 thousand more if you opt for hostel in campus which is only for freshman students and there is no feasibility in fees you have to pay it in two installments and also late fees is high if you miss the deadline and fee payment system of our college is worst you have to wait in line to pay fees about whole day, fees system of our college is very bad. There is no loan facility available in our college that means our college don't provide any loan but you can apply for loan through banks many classmates of mine have done that and regarding scholarship if you have good marks in JEE and have applied for TFW seats and you have been given these seats then you will get scholarship and your annual fees will be around 12-15 thousand excluding hostel fees.

Scholarship is provided by government for obc, sc, st. Loan facility is also available, loans can be sanctioned very easily. There is no problem for saction of loan.

My college review

State scholarship which are provided by the respective state government are provided to SC , ST and obc students whose parents annual income is less than 2 lacs. The scholarship form comes every year in September and each student which are eligible for has to apply for it online on state scholarship portal. In first year we have to register on this portal and in successive year we just have to renew it.
