IET DAVV B.Tech 2024 admissions are open. B.Tech Registration can be done through MP DTE Counselling website. Application form are available from June 13 to July 25. Choice filling will be available from July 5 to July 29. First Merit List will be published on July 30, 2024.
About IET DAVV
The Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), is an engineering college of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. It was founded as an autonomous institute in 1996. It is an approved Institution by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Government of Madhya Pradesh and University Grants Commission (UGC). IET was started with a total intake of 90 students in three branches of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) but now it offers an undergraduate program in six disciplines with a total intake of 540 and Postgraduate programs in engineering and science too.
The institute recently concluded its 2022 placement drive with more than 90% placements. The 2021-22 batch got a better experience during its campus placement drive compared to the previous batch. This year, 427 students were placed which is more than double the number it was last year. The highest salary package stood at INR 57 LPA. Average salary increased from INR 5.23 LPA in 2021 to INR 6 LPA in 2022. the placement drive engaged 108 recruiters. Some of the past recruiters of IET DAVV are Wipro, Mu-Sigma, ZS, Infosys, DXC, Capgemini, BYJU’s, Kotak Mahindra etc.

IET Davv B.E (Bachelor of engineering) Admission
- The candidate who has qualified for 10+2 examination and appeared in the IIT-JEE examination.
- The admission process is strictly in accordance with the rules and regulation of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal. Reservation rules are mentioned thereof.
- Admission process shall take place through counseling conducted by DTE, Bhopal through Counselling Authority and its nodal centers in MP.
IET Davv M.E. / M. Sc. Admission
- A candidate seeking admission to the program should have passed with 60% (or equivalent) in BE/B. Tech (or equivalent) in an allied branch of engineering from a recognized/ University.
- The sponsored candidates should have two years of work experience after BE/B.Tech degree.
- Candidates have to attend a TANCET entrance exam.
- For M.Sc. in applied mathematics, a candidate should have done their graduation from a reputed university.

- Scholars from some reputed organizations such as SGSITS, AICTE, RRCAT, NRCS, and IIITA etc. have registered for the Ph.D. program in various departments of IET.

IET provides some best infrastructural and academic facilities to the students. Some of them are listed below-
- Infrastructure: The college campus sprawled over 43 acres of land mainly houses four academic blocks- Computer and IT block, civil block, Electronics block, and Mechanical block. There is also separate block for administrative purposes.
- Hostels: Institute has constructed three independent Boys Hostels and one girls’ hostel. Hostels have total 288 rooms with capacity to accommodate approx. 600 students. Hostels provide facilities like- Mess and Canteen, Internet, Common room, TV hall
- Library: Students of IET have regular access to the central library of DAVV, which has got Over 1.25 Lac Books including engineering and computer domain. Except this IET has its own library comprising- 27,154 books 79 journals & 31 types of Magazines
- Laboratories: Institute has developed laboratories for practice and experimentation to supplement the classroom teaching. Some departments’ laboratories are- PC Lab, Software Engg. Admission:
For admission you have to participate in MPDTE counseling on which you are shortlisted on behalf of your JEE mains score. Reservations helps lot for reserved people u can get admission in 50 percentile but branch is dependable.

- The thing I like about my college is that, the teachers are good and teaches with precison and concisely.
- The issue about attendance is not much, still teachers care about attendance.
Dislikes
- Curriculum is not well designed... as most of the things are theoretical... practical knowledge is much needed.
- The campus is not well.. it's just a huge forest... there are no playgrounds too.
Admission:
The admission is based on the jee mains result. The cutoff is generally 40k rank to 1lakh rank for general students and will vary for the reserved seats for other caste. The admission process requires you some school passout documents and general documents for any student. And there is requirement of fee submission of first semester about 46k to first enter.

- We do have a great coding culture within the campus which helps students to grow their skills.
- We have lots of college clubs both in tech and non- tech which helps students for their overall development. Moreover, hackathon and competition

- Management of the college is very slow and provide information at the end moment keeping students hooked.
- If you want to play sports so you have to go to the main campus of DAVV which is 1 KM away from our college
Admission:
As IET DAVV is a MP state government University, the eligibility criteria to avail this college is through JEE mains examination. As it's ranked 2nd best college to pursue engineering within the state, cutoff are quite high for students. But we do get reservations benefits as well as seats in each branch are also divided as per categories.

- The placement is decent and almost all student able to get placement in CS , IT and EC branch .
- The best thing i liked in the college is there is not much load of assignment you get much free time to prepare for any other examination.
Dislikes
- The college infrastructure is not too good as expected from 2nd rank college in MP.
- Mostly Lab equipment are available but not work at all . Lab classes are not helding properly

The only way you can take admission in college is through JEE rank. The approx cuttoff for CS & IT is 45k , E&TC 65k , Mechanical is 90K - Ilac. The reservatiion is available for OBC , ST & SC and Girls Student.

you should be class 12th passed and should I have a good jee main percentile. Which would likely surpass the cutoff to get admission to this college. You can also come to this college with college-level counseling after JEE. application form is available in the college during admission as you have to carry an allotment letter. Every 5 months (approx) a semester ends. The difficulty levels are at medium. Everything is paperwork. Should be digitalized.

For taking admission in IET DAVV you need to appear in the JEE Mains and atleast clear the cut off so you can get any course in the college. After appearing in JEE Mains you need to register for MP DTE councelling to get college allotment to you. The difficulty level of exam is moderate to slightly tough but if you study properly then you are able to get admission in this college.

The admission process was quite hectic as their was a heavy traffic in the college during the admission. The application form should be fillled their in the college itself after the allotment by MPDTE counseling. All the reservation benefits are as per the MPDTE allotment. The admission process can be improved by Alloting more counters for the students during admission.

As it is tier 3 semi government college it has reservation The difficulty for exams are there as teacher won't provide you notes or anything and you have to do it by yourself There are 3 mid semester test of which best of two are taken and 1 endsem test and has decent difficulty level

Iet davv is an government funded institute so there are direct admission is impossible. You can get admission through entrance exam JEE or CUET. Application forms of the exam is available on their individual website. Entrance exam like JEE is tougher than cuet. Difficulty level of jee is high but cuet has a 12th level difficulty. I think admission process was good no need to improvement in this areas.

- Aas it is University, campus is very big spread over 756 acres, which has a lots of facilities including lots 3 tto 4 grounds, basketball court, indoor badminton court, also recently an athletic field as aa project by government with 2 crores budget.
- No issues related to attendance. It is officially 7tt percent but as such there is no issues

- Faculty is a bit strict regarding academics.
- The campus is very bigg so we need to walk a lot to avail even basic facilities.

To get into this college you need to give JEE mains. Different branches have different cut-offs. Like to get into computer engineering course you need to get atleast 96 percentile or above. Least cut off is of civil branch which is 88 percentile approx.

After reading the question, I searched for this person and visited his LinkedIn account, which narrates the whole story.
It is a misconception that Google doesn't hire graduates from Tier-3 colleges. Well, this person is not just a graduate as he has 4 years of experience in the software field.
You cannot define success by the college you studied in. If you are hardworking and have potential, success will come automatically. There are various examples of successful people from not-so-famous colleges. Not every IAS is a B.Tech, not every scientist in ISRO, DRDO, etc. is from Tier-1 college.
Having a degree from a Tier-1 college does not automatically grant you success. Even a gold medalist has to earn by working.
Many people are not fortunate to study in a prestigious college or university. It does not make them less successful.
