As per our research, UVCE Bangalore is different as compared to private colleges, in the following ways:Admissions are purely merit based, through KEA KCET counselling only.It is the oldest govt engineering college in Karnataka. The heritage and vibes is something that cannot be found in other engineering colleges. Its prime location offers a huge advantage for its students.It stands amongst top 5 engineering colleges when it comes to placements.UVCE is a university college and not under VTU. We have been affiliated to Bangalore University since 1964. Now, UVCE has become a University in itself by the UVCE Act 2021.We have an excellent IEEE chapter in UVCE. Lots of amazing clubs and associations make the social life in college really vibrant.Student crowd is really decent. People from humble backgrounds come to this college. A diverse populace from throughout the state can be seen.The infrastructure is really nice and student friendly. The library and labs are amazing.

Why should one join UVCE Bangalore?

Students and alumni prefer joining UVCE Bangalore for the following reasons:There are no management seats in this college, so students who come here have the same mindset as others.The experienced faculty come and take classes like other colleges and you can get back to them for doubts about the subject.Coming to the infrastructure of the college, it is decent. The classrooms are ventilated, washrooms are good and labs are also good enough, to be frank. All one needs is a comfortable place to sit and listen to the class and that is abundantly there here.Coming to the most amazing part, the senior-junior bond in UVCE is the greatest boon of the college. Seniors are so helpful. No matter whatever the problem is, they will always be there with you to help you.There will be many technical and cultural events throughout the year for you to engage yourself in.UVCE Bangalore is known for its placement offers. A wide range of core and IT companies hire many students from the college.This college teaches you self management and makes you independent.

What is the average package offered at UVCE?

Students and alumni claim that UVCE Bangalore average package is offered around INR 4 LPA. Some companies inflate their CTC and show it around INR 10-15 LPA, but in reality the pay that you get is around INR 6-7 LPA.They add benefits into the CTC and make it a handsome amount. On the other hand, there are companies which offer INR 6.5 LPA and your monthly salary comes up to INR 50K, which is pretty good for a fresher.

What is the UVCE Bangalore CSE Average Package?

UVCE Bangalore CSE average package is offered between INR 8 LPA - INR 10 LPA. For other core branches, it may stand between INR 5 LPA to INR 7 LPA. Although UVCE Bangalore has high placement rate overall, branches like CSE, ECE and IT are reported to have higher placement rates, ranging from 90% - 95%.

2. The placements wrt a Govt. Collage are really better

Ofcourse there are campus placement A total of 350 companies visit our college and the placements are far better for CS and AI& ML and EEEand other courses compared to MECH & CIVIL. The percentage varies between branches for CS it the most and MECH&CIVIL stands at the bottom with a percentage of around 60-50%

Placement training are internship training was given the last year.
Technical fests and events are conducted to help students.

Placement Experience:

As per the latest notice I read in college. I have seen 96% of placements in Our ECE department. So I guess it's pretty good. And they also will give placement training in our third year I guess. That's what seniors told us.

Likes

Good seniors. Very helpful MTech students will be present to help us with the academic part
Easy to travel. As our college is situated in the middle of Bangalore
Friendly teachers who don’t bother us for attendance and internals

Dislikes

Teachers might not complete the portions
Canteen is non existent there’s only a Nandini parlour and an vending machine
Infrastructure is old but manageable. It’s got its own vibe

Placement Experience:

As a government college our college has good placements in mechanical engineering the highest package was 26Lpa and averages around 7Lpa and the percentage of placement is 60%. The highest placement was around 56Lpa including all the other branches

The tNo management seats are there,only meritorious students get the opportunity to study .
Since ,It was built by the Great Engineer Sir M Visvesvaraya.I always feel to be blessed to get the opportunity to study there.
I like the college Library and the quality of education in the college.Most Importantly Training and Place Office is giving their 100% to get the companies to provide on campus placements to the students.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are good. The training and placement office starts providing the training at the beginning of the 6th semester itself. Before that, we are getting so many placement and interview-facing sessions, and workshops related to technical things and they provided some entrepreneur workshops to build our startups.

I liked the history and legacy of the college which is of 100 years
The is also known for providing education in low price
Third thing I liked about the college is it's placement almost 90% of success rate every year

Dislikes

About the management they don't care about the student life
They not maintain the curriculum time at all
The teacher are very insensitive towards students problem

The second best thing I liked about the college is it's placement it is very effective every year and it has success rate of 85 to 90 percentage. The placement in college is maintained by the training and placement office of UVCE

Best college life

Likes

This college gives lot of freedom for students.Especially Graduates need to prepare for placement,so time table is just 3 -4 hours.
Teachers in UVCE is very Good.Techers teach very nicely,Hence best to apply to this college

Dislikes

Infrastructure needs to improved in my college University of Vishveshvaraya College of Engineering.
Summer holidays or sem end Holidays are not provided in my college.They only give Study holidays for exams.

Placement Experience:

My college is very best at placement.Last year, Highest package for my college was 58 lakh per annum.Around 350+ companies visited my campus with internship offers.Hence,this college is best for placement.

The field experienced faculty and good staff that is ready to help whenever we seek.
The behaviour of the chairman. They treat the students as their own and helps them all the time.
The inclusive students behaviour. Being a kannada dominating college, they keep outsiders in the decisions and minds most of the time.

Dislikes

The inexperience of faculty in teaching. The faculty consists of good working professionals but lack teaching sense. They think we know it all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The one thing they can do is train the teachers to actually teach from student pov. And use different language mediums for children from our of Karnataka like me. The course teaches us the facts and details and we in professional practice have to apply it in our daily lives.

One of the things I like the most is this college is better than as compared to other colleges in placements.
Secondly, I would like to share that there are a highly experienced faculty..
The main thing is there is well collection of books in the field of engineering with a specific branch and also a competitive book for UPSC and for other govt. exams, there is an E-Book facility.

Dislikes

Insufficient laboratory equipment poses a significant impediment to academics and research pursuits..
A deficiency in campus infrastructure may lead to overcrowded spaces..
I think as it's a government college and it lags behind due to inadequate funding..

Placement Experience:

Our college is being famous for it's placements and campus recruitments by Top MNC companies and our college highest placement in last year is 58LPA and average is around 12-15LPA. As our college provides a quality education and focuses more on the practical and provides a valuable real-world insights and application opportunities. Due to this their is no problem in employability if their is no on-campus placements students will go through off-campus mode sfter completing course.

My experience as an UVCEian

Likes

The faculty and their teaching methodologies
The college has flexible college timings
The pace at which every examination is conducted isn't rushed enabling students to have ample time for preparation without feeling stressed

Dislikes

Not sufficient cultural and sport events
Inactive clubs due to low funding from the campus

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester. Companies like ABB, Royal Enfield, HP, Ernst and Young, Sony, Hitachi, Volvo and mass recruiters like Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro and many others visit the campus for placements. Highest package in EEE department last year was 24LPA plus lifestyle allowances. Approximately 70% of students are placed in entire campus. After my degree, I am looking for getting placed from campus placement for UX position.
