I was interested in product designing and in nift I was able to get in depth information to the topic related to the field of designing and this was the only government college where I was eligible to get admission right after my 3 year bachelor's degree. Faculty to Student ratio is good over 36 students we've 5 different Faculty each whom is at least post graduate in design. Passing criteria is not that difficult, everyone in our class has passed no matter their knowledge levele

At the end of 4th sem, you can get an internship in any company their highest package goes around 40 lacks per annum Around 80% of students got placed in various companies and startups. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own brand.

Students in PG become eligible in the third sem. Major companies are Aravind mills, satva consulting, Myntra, target, Aditya Birla, etc. The average package is 4 lac and the highest is 10-12 lacs. Students can get into visual design, brand management, graphic design, UI UX design, trend forecaster, etc. I plan on getting a job and working as a UI UX designer.
College management is good but not that much supportive for placements
I chose this course as I have am passionate about fashion and want to become a big thing in this field. The admission process required me to complete the bachelor's degree in the relevant course and clearing the NIFT entrance exam.
The admission process went somewhat like this: first I registered/applied online on the college website for M.Des. Then I had to write an entrance exam. When I passed it, there was a group discussion and an interview, and finally counselling was done about the course and the college.
There was an entrance exam called NIFT entrance, which was conducted in January 2019. There are total 117 seats all over India, for MDes, except the NRI seats. The entrance test had two phases - the GAT and CAT. After which, there's GDPI round. I got common merit rank 112, and category rank 15. Then we had counselling round where you have to choose your center (available WRT merit ranks), and I chose NIFT Delhi. That's how I got my admission at NIFT Delhi.
