Remarks :

College management is good but not that much supportive for placements

Course Curriculum Overview :

NIFT PG curriculam is divers and very good for master of design programme, mastes of design have 4 major subjects. UIUX, Design pedagogy, social design and strategic design management. they have aother minors subject also from other departments of UG.

Class Size : 33Course Fees : INR 180000 per year

Placement Experience :

place ments are good but cannot say 100 %, but the course make you perfect to fight in industry so that no one will be jobless.

College Events :

All festivals, region wise and religion wise are celebrated at nift. every person take part in that. they have workshops and creative competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

expensive. day by day it is being very expensive. and subject requirements are also expensive, like fabric, paper, leather, printouts, it is a semi-government institute so it should provide things for free or low cost. food is also expensive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

no, I did not opted for any, but college gives the scholarships as per ministry of textile guidelines for students who can not afford education by there own.

Campus Life :

At nift we support gender equality, the ration is 7:3. girls are the majority here and we learn respect to every LGBTQAI community person here. Nift teaches us to see things in big picture, all are equal and our talent makes us different from each other. I love nift for being over all these taboos and social stigma things.

Alumni/Alumna :

Nift Alumni network is not that much strong. Ideally, it should be like another good college network - iits nid or Bits. but in nift we always get a competitive learning environment.

Admission :

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) declared the result of NIFT PG 2020 for M.Des and M.FTech on the official website on March 13, 2020. The examination cell released the answer key in online mode on January 22. Candidates have to enter their roll number, programme applied, question booklet series and date of birth to check the same. Candidates can challenge the same till January 24.

Faculty :

it is good but, in few courses faculty is a bit under experience and they don't have that much knowledge. but few faculty have the power to change the life of students.

MY LIFE AT NIFT

Placement Experience:

from the second last semester, students start getting placed. landmark, Nike, puma, Adidas, and almost 70% placement, the highest package is 10lac. and the average is 4-5lac. 70% of students are being placed. Job in the fashion industry.

Life at Nift

Admission:

Through the process of GD and PI. There was an entrance exam conducted first. After which students were shortlisted according to the cutoff marks and then called for the process of GD PI. After which the students were called for counseling and got the Nift campus according to their merit rank.

Placement Experience:

The placements and job opportunities are quite good. All the high and known brands and companies visit the college for their recruitment process. We are given the freedom to work or intern in any area of our interest in the fashion industry which is what I appreciate.

Remarks:

my review of the college is both positive as well as negative. i really like the atmosphere, there is a very good social interaction with people of different background. the negative of it was the fees mainly, so middle class family students should think before admission.
