Our college is famous for its faculty. they are very friendly wd their students, students xan discuss their personal problems too with their teacher. the location of the college is also good. Remarks:

First of all I wanted to take admission because it's a girls college and I have the scope to learn something new. It has a reputation. It is in preferable distance from my house. The place is also quite preferable, near our college there is panbazar where I can find bookshops. The transportation is good. As I had completed my H.s in a different college, I also wanted to leave my comfort zone and explore more with new people.

Remarks:

Faculty: HGC has one of the best faculties in North East for English Literature. The professors pay individual attention to the students and are concerned about their betterment not just in academic field but also as a person. The faculty is highly learned, caring and sincere when it comes to teaching. Location: HGC is located opposite to the beautiful Dighalipukhuri. Transportation - be it bus, cabs, auto or rickshaw is not a problem since it is a centre location. Also restaurants, food stalls, beverage stalls, xerox and printing shops are in the vicinity making it easier for the students to have lunch if they are not in the mood to lunch at the college canteen. Reputation: HGC is culturally active and has churned out gems who are in various fields of Assamese art and culture today.

Remarks:

It offers higher secondary courses in science and art stream, graduation in arts and science stream, masters in various subjects, BCA and PGDCA. And this institution is one of the most appreciable institutions, and I would prefer any girl thinking to pursue the degree or competing the 10+2 course, to definitely join here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose English Majors because I was always good in literature and books. I love reading. And I wanted to persue a career in the same. For me, the learning experience mattered and not some big-name college from Delhi University. So I chose this humble one. However, I was amazed by their teaching skills and others. The professors are the best. There were around 60 students per class. Only one section in the first semester and later it got increased. Exams were moderately tough and you could pass them but only if you studied. And you had to study believe me. The teaching method used by the professors was simple. Teaching from the books. Overall a very good faculty.
