Remarks :

Faculty: HGC has one of the best faculties in North East for English Literature. The professors pay individual attention to the students and are concerned about their betterment not just in academic field but also as a person. The faculty is highly learned, caring and sincere when it comes to teaching. Location: HGC is located opposite to the beautiful Dighalipukhuri. Transportation - be it bus, cabs, auto or rickshaw is not a problem since it is a centre location. Also restaurants, food stalls, beverage stalls, xerox and printing shops are in the vicinity making it easier for the students to have lunch if they are not in the mood to lunch at the college canteen. Reputation: HGC is culturally active and has churned out gems who are in various fields of Assamese art and culture today.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The English course was alright but the syllabus was not updated. It could have been more advanced but again for beginners it was not stressful. There were the positives and the negatives. The faculty members were great and they always simplified the subject matter. Classes were a delight because of their anecdotes and stories.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 21000 per year

Placement Experience :

Since I never sat or consulted the placement cell I am not aware of the placement cell. As far as I know there were no such opportunities for English course at least. But again I never seeked them in the first place. So those who are seeking to join the English programme should find out about the placement cell before hand.

College Events :

The campus life is very vibrant. It is an all girls institution and there is a great unity among the girls. We proudly called ourselves Handiqueens. The annual college week and saraswati puja are perhaps the most happening occasion throughput the year. Other than that there are small festive celebrations from time to time.

Campus Life :

The campus didn't have wifi as of 2019. There is a big library, jstore access, lab, and a basketball/badminton/volleyball court. There is also a gym although none of my batch mates entered the gym. There is a Hall for the programs and seminars.

I love my college and I don't think that their is any change required

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like it.There is no any specific aspects regarding my subject. From class 12 onwards I like my subject economics and so I persude this course. The timing of our exams are ok . But according to difficulty level it is moderate. I don't think that there is any area that need to be improved regarding the course.

A Honest Review on NIT Silchar.

Placement Experience:

The placement in NIT Silchar is decent. You will be eligible for placement from the 4th year but you will be associated with the T&P cell from the 3rd year. The companies which came for placements in 2022 are Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Electronics Limited, Amazon Web Services, Vedanta Resources Limited, Make My Trip, etc. The highest package is 44 LPA in 2022 offered by Amazon Web Services and the average package is 15-16 LPA. Almost 95% of students get placed in CSE & and 90% in ECE, followed by EIE whereas in other branches the percentage is low. After getting the degree, I will be seating for placements and getting a Job Of course.

Feeling proud for studying in India's most beautiful campus

Placement Experience:

Don't worry about placements, they are quite good. Our campus highest package this year is 2.5 cr/annum There are many other stats on our official website, you can refer to that. Mostly many people get interns in their 5th or 6th sem and get placed at the end of the 7th sem. I will talk more about this after going the second year atleast

All about our university

Placement Experience:

In my course after the 7th semester, we are eligible for campus placements. Sun Pharma is the top pharmaceutical company that comes to make offers along with other companies. After a bachelor degree, the highest you can expect is a 3 - 4 LPA. I don't know for sure but almost 60% students get placement. I am going to complete my masters after getting bachelor degree.

It should uplift its academic curriculum.

Remarks:

College is not so good as i mentioned above,no proper hostel,teachers are not too good as they don’t give practical knowledge,college food is fine,college have many sports,this is 1 many advantage of this college.Join any college main thing is its all depends on you.
