Nehru College of engineering thrissur in a nutshell

Likes

The ambience of the college is pretty good
Very much professional teachers and faculties
For CSE the male to female ratio is almost the same but for Mechanics and mechatronics female students are very less and in ece there are lots of girls

Dislikes

Lack of cultural programmes only one big festival called bloom but nothing more
Some faculties are very strict and it is for our own good but it's gets pretty tiring soon
Class time is too much compared to recess time there is two recess and a lunch break with lunch break being 1 hour and recess being 10 min with 10 min being very less

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this is an autonomous college the courses taken here is very much up to date and standard and the exams are difficult and not hard too much hard to make us stress over it. The curriculum prepares as for real world as the classes are very much practical. Exams are done at their correct time with plenty of time to study

nehru has implemented placement traninng from the start of the course itself, from first year itself we get to placement classes which made us adapt and get to know how interviews are conducted. from 4th year onwards i think students are eligible for placements and more than 75% of students gets placed every year

My college have a food campus beautiful green well maintained
Faculties are good and help us in building our carrier
Soo many internship programmes and all are provided by the college

Dislikes

College is little strict for first year students
Average for placement and all avg package was 2lk per annum
Need improvemts in clubs and events that's good for students

Placementa are average 20-60% are placed after course with minimum salary After 3rd year we are become eligible for placements Infosys Wipro bosch techmaheendra TCS etc are visited my college last year 50-60% are placed My plans after this is getting job fast and secure my career after some years I need to plan for a startup

The fests conducted by the college are way too good

The college is strict with very few free period, ensuring a focused and disciplined academic environment.

Placement Experience:

After S6 Students are eligible for the campus placements and I do not know the exact numbers of Comapnies visited and offers made but the placements are averege and the avg package isabout 4lpa. Almost all students with no backlogs are placed.

Good ambiance : the clg provides a good ambience and gives a more positive vybe outside than inside the building
Good infrastructure, colle has good infrastructure which cant be explained unless u see it
Events : the events conducted are really good and gives u a good vybe

Dislikes

Less number of events in a year: comparitively only 4 events happens in a yr on college

Placement Experience:

From semester 6 students become eligible for placements. There are many companies like ashok leyland, tech mahindra, etc.. Last time we had like 100% placement in our department. Though the package amount was like 12-15 k per month at strtimg they got placed in a core company.

Likes

College ambience is good and superb. There is a good atmosphere around there.
Staff's and faculties are really friendly.

Dislikes

The fee structure is high for some reasons.
The rules are really disgusting, especially about uniform related

Placement Experience:

The campus have placements. From 9th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. To be honest good options for mechatronics engineering is very low. Maybe because its due to the courses unpopularity. Minimum above 70 percentage required for students to getting placements. My plan after completing this course is going to Germany.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there
