Overall the college is great and college life is also amazing but with some demerits mentioned earlier

Our hostel mess food and hostel life is amazing
Our college campus which includes: one college temple, college campus playground, the college environment and its greenery nature
Our college most of times hosts cultural functions such as horizon, funfair, IYDP, freshers party, farewell party etc..

The real deal: what it's like to study at IGIT

Likes

Around my college the view is so nice it's so satisfying and beautiful to watch the sunset there
It's full of greenary and everyone is so caution about this environment they also don't want to ruin this environment
Some of the lecturers treat us as their own children they are so nice upto their behaviour.

Dislikes

There are numerous monkeys sometimes it become so difficult to step out of hostel due to them
This place is in outarea so it's sometimes become difficult to connect through internet.
I guess our college should also took initiative of taking mock interview.

Placement Experience:

When I entered this college I was very concerned about the placement although I knew that here placement ratio is somehow good but I talk to many seniors and gradually get to know about the placement Students after completing their projects can sit in the placement, having cgpa atleast 7.5, some of the company demands no back paper.

Likes

Library is good enough, you are allowed from 7am to 11pm. Almost each book and journal is available.
Large infrastructure, good campus, atm,bank,post office facilities are there. Hostels are also good
Practical sessions are best. Experienced faculty members.

Dislikes

Office section's staff behaviour is nor good. They behave you as you are living on their mercy.

Our college is situated in sarang which is near to talcher coal mines.
Our college has very huge compus and full of greenery and I will call it as mini green City.
Our college encourage to participate in different activities like sports etc.

Our college is established in 1982 that way our campus infrastructure is look old

From third semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement. Company like jsw, India cements,tata,l&t,Jindal and other minies company visited. Jsw offer the highest package of ?3.5lpa and profile offered is junior training engineer. Above 60% students getting placed.

The most thing I like is Environment, the teachers, the library, faculties
Playground and nature in igit, helpful people

Food are the worst part in hostel, but some days it’s good

Placement Experience:

Recently due to recessions and market downturn the IT/CS jobs are really low, just don't expect that u can get easily IT/CS jobs, the same situation is everywhere but placement teams really do hardwork to reach more and more companies and yes if you are good at your branch subjects or you are a non-IT then there were good opportunities for you in this college, really good industrial companies are approaching and most students are getting placements in core companies like ADANI, TATA POWER etc etc.
