The ratio faculty to student was 1:50. Relationship with teachers were absolutely good and they were easily approachable. I was from ECE department and most of the teachers were domain master. In practicals also technical assistance were supportive. Exams were offline. 70 marks theory with attendance, practical scores and mid sems do the rest markings.

Faculty to student ratio is quite good actually. We have a total of 9 professors in first year, counting the lab technicians out of course. Faculties are well approachable regarding doubts, exams, study related matters etc. Some faculties don't teach so well, and that's the only reason why many don't like them. Exams are just the two end sem ones in first and second semester . But plenty, plenty of surprise tests which contribute to overall cgpa. No one really fails. But you have to study hard to get 8-9 CGPA which is important for placements or if you want to upgrade your branch.

The faculty and student ratio as quite good means you will get a teacher who is good in particular topics of any subject, faculty faculties are good in nature and most of the time they are so humble you can feel free to ask any question and they will answer you every time you ask them in the very beginning of the class they told you if you feel free and ask any doubts. I would like to take the name of any faculty but in my experience I have seen every teacher I met in the college and in class nobody ever being any kind of insensitive or rude towards anyone they all understand what is student is feeling and ready to help them with humble, there is no faculty in the college you will find who is not good I mean there is no chance to hate or dislike any teacher in the college they have a lot of experience of handling students and they do it quite well, so we have 8 semester exams and in each semester there is one mid sem of 20 marks and 2 surprise test of 10 marks, exams are not that hard if you attended the class and have notes which we also provided by the teachers you can clear the exam with good marks, the ratio of students were fail exam is quite less most of the student pass the exam and some are fail they do also get pass in back paper.the course curriculum is quiet relevant and you will understand what they are absolute teaching.

The course structure is good , as I'm a first year b tech student . I have to learn everything in first year like mech phy maths . They have mid sem and final sem both . They also take surprise tests , so we always have to be regular in College . The final sem. Is of 60 marks . And rest 40 marks is of surprise test and attendence

Faculty of CSBS department is really good. Marking Scheme is 60 + 40...where 60 is final semester marks...40 marks are you internals and mid sem combined marks. internals are basically surprise tests so you can in touch with your subjects

The faculty and the student relationship is very good. They r always ready to help the students no matter what. They'll guide you and are very helping. Teachers of every subject take suprise tests for 10 marks which r added later on. There r mid sems and then sems of 80 marks(most probably). There r internals and externals.

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:60 .The faculties are good and students can communicate with them about anything. They clear doubts and provide guidance for future also. The exam pattern for the classes are 3 surprise class tests,a mid sem,and the semester exam. The class tests are or 10 marks each and mid sem of 20 marks. The semester exam is of 60 marks and 40 marks internal. Almost all the students clear the exams every semester. The course curriculum is best as it clears the attendance issue as due to suprise tests and the curriculum makes sure that the students learn.
HIT is among the top engineering colleges in West Bengal, affiliated with MAUKAT. The institute is awarded as the Most Preferred Engineering Institute of 2020.
One of my friends, an alumnus of the college, reviewed that the faculty is excellent. They are highly qualified and carry ample industry experience. Most of them are doctorates and well-known in their field of study.
At his time, the discussions about the facility happened in Macha, the cafeteria of the college. The best professor that he was under was Mr. Nirmaan Ganguly (NG sir). He was the best among all the other professors. Apart from him, the others include Mr. Amitava Hatilal of the electrical department and Mr. Parth sir in the computer science department.
These were the few teachers from the past whom he could recall even after five years of graduating.
One of my friends is an alumnus of the ECE department at Heritage Institute of Technology. Here is what he had to say about the faculties of the department.
Dr. Prabir Banerjee, Dr. Anindya Sen, Dr. Sambhu Nath Biswas, Dr. Sayantan Dhar, Dr. Shounak Dasgupta, Dr. Srabanti Pandit, Dr. Kasturi Mukherjee, Dr. Mousiki Kar, and Dr. Soumyo Chatterjee are all excellent mentors if you wish to go into the field of researching.
Not everyone who excels in research also excels in teaching, but some do, and some are absolutely exceptional.
Professors will be intra-departmental, whether you are a student enrolled in an undergraduate or a postgraduate program. Your Professors will be extremely important throughout the fourth year of your undergraduate program at Heritage.
Make sure you get connected with someone who can assist you in completing your Projects. The Final Year Project will be one of the most crucial tasks for an MS or MBA after your undergraduate education, or for an off-campus job application. Choosing prudently and, most importantly, having a doctorate to assist you will go a long way.
The faculty members are really helpful and a senior of mine is still in contact with them even after graduating from college. The faculties of Heritage Institute of Technology at AEIE (Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering) department are overall average while some are below average too.
Some teachers like Prof AKB, DMG are not liked by all due to their rude nature although both of them are highly qualified and accomplished researchers. Thus, the faculty is a mixture of good and average members.
