IIIT Kalyani BTech Eligibility Criteria

Students must have an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in the 12th class to apply for the B.Tech course.
SC/ST category students will be given a mark relaxation of 10% in the eligibility criteria.
Candidates also will have to qualify for JEE Main to secure admission to B.Tech.

IIIT Kalyani BTech Admission 2024

Admissions to the B.Tech program at IIIT Hyderabad are done through JEE Main exam score. Candidates have to appear for the counselling round which is conducted by JoSAA. After all the rounds of JoSAA (rounds 1-6) are out, CSAB counseling takes place. CSAB releases 2 special rounds of seat allotment for IIIT Kalyani BTech admissions 2024.

The students will be selected based on the JEE scores meeting the cutoff list released by the institute.
The selection process will include an interview by the institute that will also include the counseling session.
The foreign students will be selected based on the SAT scores and they must score the minimum marks required by the college.

Finally, pay the registration fee which is Rs. 1000 for Male General /Gen-EWS/ OBC(NCL) candidates and Rs. 800 for Female General/ Gen-EWS/ OBC(NCL) or Male & Female candidates from SC/ ST/ PwD category or Transgender candidates. Pay the application fee through net banking, credit card, or debit card.

Professors- Highly Skilled and Knowledgeable Professor.
Subjects- Core subjects and Some important subjects like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are taught as they are the next big thing.

Dislikes

Infrastructure - The college doesn't have its own campus for now as the main and permanent campus is under construction.
Smaller Size - The college only has two courses and that too recently. Before it had only CSE. so not much people in the whole campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Curriculum in IIIT Kalyani strongly focuses on IT an Computer Technology. They also give much credits to the core subjects of Computer Science and aim to deliver as much knowledge as they can to the students. The Curriculum solely focuses on real world applications and primarily focuses on innovation and technology. Areas to prove are that it gives too less time for the students to completely understand the course. But i believe that it is manageable for an average student. A student can still learn a lot of things in that time . There are 2 main exams in each semester which are mid semester examination and end semester examination. And there are also internal marking tests which can be quiz or subjective depending on the professors choice. Semester duration is approx 4 months and there is a 2 moths given as holidays for students after semester.

Thriving at IIIT Kalyani: An insider's perspective

Faculties are well qualified , most have Phd from IITs. They will genuinely help you if you approach them. They will even help you personally if you approach them.
They library is small but has books related to academics ,even if you submit books lately, no fine is imposed generally.

Campus is very small as it is currently running on temporary campus. No social life. Hostel life is also very bad.
In labs, many components don't work and nobody fixes it. We have to go through alot of trouble during experiments of circuital subjects like digital, analog etc.

They subjects which are taught in first and second year, are a bit of old but necessary for third and fourth year. In third and fourth year , we get modern subjects which are needed for real world applications. So, according to me, the curriculum is fair enough. Specifically saying, lab instruments should be improved as many of them do not work and no body cares about it. In every semester, we have two exams - mid-semester and end-semester. Some professor may take class test as well, it varies from faculty to faculty. Difficulty also varies from faculty to faculty but most of the papers are of medium level.

Seniors are very co-operative and guide the juniors

The library staff is often not present in time of need
The institute still has not gotten any permanent campus

The curriculum is well upto the market. There is DSA,ML,Basic Electronics and Basic Mathematics like Linear Algebra and Statistics regardless of our course and they teach CS very early, so that you can gain expertise with time.

Obviously everyone knows how cse is growing in these years and what is its scope in the upcoming years. So already having some coding intrests, i went upon this college with cse branch and it had never disappointed me. the faculty members are great here with vast amount of exprience. the student ratio lies around 10:1 with boys and girls. The quality of the exam papers is at a very good level where you have to do some hardwork to pass them

Environment is very nice full of greenery

There are very Less opportunities and bad location from companies point of view.

The curriculum is very good . As for the real world aspect the curriculum prepares you pretty good for real world applications and further academic pursuits . I think teachers should be more interactive more practical experiments should be done . The exams are bit difficult

Bus facility of the college to reach the college it takes times

Course curriculum are less hectic here, we have max to max 6 subject in our courses which 2 lab classes. Approx 24 hr classes held in a week with two days holiday. Courses are designed to improve your skills for better placement

Ragging culture is not much practised in our college.Seniors in our college are quite helpful and supportive.
Office staff is quite good,they will help you out in every possible way regarding scholarships.

College life is next to zero,you don't really enjoy in this college,all you have to do is to study.
There is no social life in this city, entertainment is quite rare in this city.

Two exams are held in every semester. One is mid semester exam and other is end semester examination. Difficulty is medium. Overall curriculum is good. Assignments are given a lot. Teaching techniques are good.

our curriculam involves study of cumputer science and engineering. we got to learn maths physics and humanities in our first semester. we also had c programming and basic electrical and electronics classes involved in our syllabus
