Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITG) was established in 2013 in Guwahati, Assam. The institute introduced Ph.D. program in its curriculum in 2015. IIIT, Guwahati offers B.Tech and Ph.D. program to the aspirants. B.Tech course is offered with two specializations and Ph.D. program with 7 specializations.
- Applicants seeking admission to B.Tech program shall apply for JoSAA as admission to the course is given through JoSAA Counselling.
- Those who want to join Ph.D. program shall download the application form from the institute’s website and submit it through email or post.
- Students who have passed 10+2/ HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and qualified JEE Main are considered eligible to get admission in B.Tech course.

IIIT Guwahati B.Tech Admission 2024
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITG) offers B.Tech course with two specializations and intake of 45 students in Computer Science and Engineering and 35 students in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Applicants who have passed 10+2/ HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of these as optional subject viz. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and English as a compulsory language subject from a recognized Board are considered eligible for admission to B.Tech course. Admission to candidates is given through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) as per the merit of JEE Main conducted by CBSE.

IIIT Guwahati M.Tech Admission 2024
IIIT Guwahati offers 2-year M.Tech programmes to graduate engineering students available in both on campus and online mode. For admission to the M.Tech course, applicants should have a valid GATE score. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview round by email for final shortlisting.
The university offers two specializations including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). The total intake for both specializations under M.Tech Programmes is 60 each. There is no application fee applicable to apply for the IIIT Guwahati M.Tech programme.
IIIT Guwahati M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should have passed graduation in BTech/ B.E./ M.Sc. in engineering and science relevant stream
- The applicants should have scored at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA in their graduation.
- Candidates appearing in their qualifying degree examinations may also apply for the M.Tech programmes, provided they should appear in all their qualifying degree examinations and complete all requirements for their degrees.
- If shortlisted, such candidates will be admitted provisionally, and they will have to furnish the results of their qualifying degree examinations.

IIIT Guwahati Ph.D. Admission 2024
IIITG runs Ph.D. program with 7 disciplines for regular, sponsored and part-time students. Applicants who have passed ME/M.Tech in apt specialization with minimum 60% marks or BE/ B.Tech Degree in relevant discipline with at least 65% marks are considered eligible to get admission in CSE/ ECE disciplines of Ph.D. program.
Students seeking admission in Economics discipline must have passed MA with Economics with minimum 60% marks. Minimum eligibility criteria for admission in English is MA in English with at least 55% marks, for Linguistics discipline is MA in Linguistics with minimum 55% marks, for Mathematics minimum eligibility criteria is M.Sc/ M.Tech in Mathematics with minimum 60% marks, and for Political Science is MA in Political Science with minimum 60% marks.
Eligible candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their academic performance and their selection for admission is done based on their marks obtained in the written test and personal interview conducted by the Institute.

I choose IIIT Guwahati Because it has a good placement record and i liked the location where it is located. It has good environment and I got this college through JEE mains rank. As per my rank and college criteria i got this college. If any student need to join in this college, every student need to write JEE mains and the rank should match the college rank cut off criteria.

Jee mains is the only way to get into this college. The application process is pretty simple, get your JEE scorecard and participate in the counseling process online. By following trends, you can get CSE at the 98 percentile and ECE at the 96 percentile ( for the general category). For category students, the cutoff is below 90.

Admission is done on the basis of JEE MAINS, You should have 95 percentile for obc candidates, yes there is reservation for sc - st and pwd candidates. Mainly two exams per semester, mid sem and end sem exams, there are quiz also in between the mid semester and and semester exam the midsem and the end sem exam is quite medium level or we can say hard level exams but the quiz is little bit easy

I had appeared for jee advanced in year 2022 and cleared it with all imdia rank of 516 and got alloted iit guwahati. Elligiblity to appear for the jee advance is to have cleared the 12 class with atleast 75 percent and clear the cut-off for jee mains. The overall level of jee advanced is very difficult.

General student should get 98percentile,one EWS and OBC student should get 97 percentile one SC Student should get 90percentile,one ST student get 80 percentile in CSE branch and ECE branch one general student get 96 percentile and EWS and OBC get 95 percentile and ST,SC Student get 88,79 percentile
