UPES Dehradun Cutoff 2024(Expected): Check Previous Year Cutoff Trends

UPES offers an MBA program in 15 specializations for the duration of two years. Candidates have to qualify for UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET) to secure admission in this course. However, UPES also offers admission through Non-Examination Pathway, i.e, on the basis of score in any National Level entrance examination such as CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ CMAT/ NMAT or XAT. The final selection will depend on the score in the entrance followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

UPES Selection Process 2024

Admission to MBA will be granted on the basis of the UPESMET entrance exam (conducted by UPES) or Any National Entrance exam.

On the basis of a valid score in any of the above-mentioned Entrance test candidates will be called for Group discussion and Personal Interview.

Key Points:

For MBA in Oil & Gas / Power Management / Energy Trading / Logistics & Supply Chain Management / International Business, students with minimum MAT score of 80 percentile will be exempted from UPESMET and will only be called for Group Discussion & Interview if qualified. Valid CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT or GMAT score will also be accepted.
For MBA in Port & Shipping Management / Aviation Management / Urban Infrastructure & Development / Business Analytics/ HR/ Operations/ Marketing & Finance, the students with minimum MAT score of 75 percentile will be exempted from UPESMET and will only be called for Group Discussion & Interview if qualified. Valid CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT or GMAT score will also be accepted.

UPES Registration Process 2024

The application form can be filled online for all UG & PG courses offered by UPES. Students are advised to follow the below-listed steps to apply for the courses offered by UPES: Online Application:

Visit the official website of UPES and click on ‘UPES Admission’ tab on the menu bar.
Click on ‘Online Application Form’ from the drop-down menu.
Click on your status whether Indian Resident or Foreign Resident.
Fill in the details requested and click on ‘Submit’ button.
After form submission, you will receive an email from UPES to verify your email address & to create an account on UPES website.
Now login to the website and fill in the rest of the details.
Submit the application form and pay the application fee of INR 1350 by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking.
Save the duly filled application form for future reference.

Ans. Candidates can secure admission to the UPES MBA program either through the UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET) or through the Non-Examination Pathway. Ques. Can candidates be exempted from the UPESMET based on their scores in other entrance exams?

Ans. Yes, candidates applying for certain specializations such as Oil & Gas Management, Power Management, Energy Trading, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and International Business can be exempted from the UPESMET if they have a minimum MAT score of 80 percentile. Similarly, for other specializations, a minimum MAT score of 75 percentile can exempt candidates from the UPESMET.

Ques. What is the test scheme for the UPESMET?

Ans. The UPESMET consists of questions from four sections: General English, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning & Verbal Ability; Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency; General Awareness, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario; and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. I liked the extra curricular part of our college, the college does support your other talents
The music fests, sports fests and other fests were really enjoyable.

Dislikes

Student parking space is messed up, its far away from the campus and very unorganised.
There is no ac in the classroom, classes during summer are hell.

Admission:

I applied for Chandigarh University and Uttaranchal University, but chose UPES because of its ranking and its crowd. The selection process was also easy at UPES, nothing difficult as such. Plus UPES is a well known university in India.

An Outlook on my College

Its in mountains so there’s always fresh air.

Mismanagement of the crowd in big events.
Too much crowd the college is still taking admissions

I chose this college for its good landscape and environment many tourist places are near to it and ee can enjoy travelling and trekking to our hearts content. I love mountains and this college is situated between them

Reality of UPES

The infrastructure is good as there are high tech classes and every class is smart class
The faculty provided by the university is really very nice. They are really supportive to the students who are sincere.

Size of the college is a bit small and conjusted comparative to the no. Of students
No. Of students are very high as this year approx 80 batches are there of cse each batch have 30 students

I also applied to Bennet university noida. But i have choosen this because of its placements and the environment it have like it is surrounded by mountains and the weather is very pleasent here. No Pollution area Good places nearby like maggi point and river point and waterfalls etc

is blacklisted by google and alot of big companies

I choose upes because firstly this is in Dehradun, which is a nice place. Secondly, then such structure is good and a main part here is. I need an exposure which I got here. I made a lot of new people which are really good. and the college clubs are really nice I learned a lot of new things with it and if I compare to the other college which I have applied for SRM, it's not that good because it's literally a jungle with a lot of students and it's in Chennai where north versus South is very common

My college experience

Things is liked the most is the culture,which is quite diverse and inclusive , all the students is the campus no matter their sexuality religion domicile feels a sense of belonging and a we feeling.
Second thing I liked the most is the no of students maintained in every batch ,no batch exceeds the student limit of 60 ,no matter what your cource is .

One thing I didn't like about the college is the accomodation as the no of hostels they have is quite less compared to the students and students need to stay out campus hostels ,which some students prefer as well

I appeared for clat 2024 and couldn't make into the top nlus and got only bottom 8-10 nlus which I didn't preferred,and went for upes as my college Admission process for the college is both online and offline The process is quite smooth You can get into the college through all national level entrances and the entrance conducted by upes as well The cutoff varies every year My overall admission experience was quite smooth but the most I would like to appreciate is the documentation process after the admission which was quite smooth and well guided

Review of UPES

The campus and hostel life is very good. They provide above average food most time. The menu changes in every 15 days.
The helping nature of teachers is very good. They help the student in every possible way.

There is soo much crowd in the campus. The intake of student every year in the university is huge.
The crowd also affects the placement as the number of students are very much.

I choosed this college beacuse of the environment, the ranking and because of the placement percentage. It provides us opportunities such as 2+2 program, semester exchange program, life time placement opportunity which other universities don't provide. I also applied for other colleges such as SRM,VIT, MIT but I preferred this university because of the above mentioned reason as well as the surrounding places this university have. As it is situated in the mountains it has the best view and greenery near it. No i didn't got rejection from other colleges in which i applied. The admission process is very simple. Firstly fill the form online. Then you have to give the entrance exam. If your JEE score and Board score is very good then you will get some scolarship.

Life of college Is like a rollercoaster

the number of people who are in this college
boys are so ill mannered and are up for a fight everytime

I choose this college because of the placement ratio and being honest. I liked it with the campus better than the other universities. The only thing is that the campus is very far away from the main city.

The college aesthetics are good every building has a greyish black color which makes the buildings look premium
The food inside the college campus is good we have 3 cafes inside and a big food court also we have dominos rught above the food court

Huge campus makes us tired of walking and our classes are scheduled in different blocks which makes us even more tired
The food is good but a little expensive inside the campus

I applied for many private colleges and one government college which was NID (National Institute of Design) which is one of the top colleges for design but unfortunately i wasnt able to clear the exam so i went for UPES dehradun mainly because of the mountains and aesthetics and the weather because rest of the private colleges didn't have anything special and that would've been boring so yeah.

The weather is the most favourite thing is loved here as the keeps changing. Here is not more hot days, every night the temperature decrease.
The second most favourite thing is, there are many places where you can go to Rome and hang out with your friends, not only near UPES But also all over Dehradun

The thing I dislike the most is Intoxication in this university, because everyone here, not everyone, but most student here, do alcoholic things which I couldn’t explain like alcohol, cigarettes ganja, etc
The second most disliked thing is to find a friend circle here because it is very difficult to make your friend circle as you can’t find a person like you here. This is the problem I am also facing here

I choose this college over the other college because this is the best nearest college to my home town. But this is not best according to me, the college is made only for the student who want to enjoy there life.
