I chose civil engineering because I love this course. The faculties of this department are one of the best faculties of this University. All the facilities are doctorates in their particular subjects. Exams are taken here very strictly every 50 days there are two sessional exams.

B.Sc Community Science, previously known as B.Sc Home Science, is a 4-year undergraduate program. The course includes 1 year of specialization in a chosen department. I chose this program due to my interest in Food Science and Nutrition. 5 different departments are focusing on community development and rural societies. The departments cover areas like food science, textile and apparel designing, extension education, consumer sciences and management, and human development and family studies. The program has over 15 professors and more than 250 students. Each professor holds a Ph.D. and has over 10 years of teaching experience. Assessments include 2 pre-final exams and 1 final exam in each semester. Pre-finals are mid-term exams, and the final exam is an end-term exam, both of average difficulty. Despite competent professors, there is a shortage of faculty in the program.

The university offers annual placements for final year students where companies like SBI, HDFC, and Nestle come. The placement for B.Tech is high with an average package of 9LPA. While placements do come, it is not 100% and students are always left out. Hence students do not depend completely on placements but look out for other opportunities. After completion of my degree, I would further study for M.Tech.
