Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is specifically made to look at the field of food technology in the direction of forensic science making it unique. The course comes with a specialisation of forensic food analysis which prepares us to bring the world safer food. With the availability and hands on training of analytical instruments, the curriculum prepares the students better for real-time applications and makes it more interesting to dvelve into the field of research. Exams are conducted regularly which include all kinds of activities rather than just the theoretical writing. The difficulty level of examinations in my experience is significantly moderate. 4 sets of examinations are conducted per semester including the end semester examination.

Faculty:

The faculty available are professional in their respective fields and stand are most of the times very supportive of the students unless u get on their bad side, which is the case with most of the teachers anywhere. The faculty available in NFSU are all renowned PhD's with a ton of experience. The faculties try their best to provide the students with best internships possible while it is not the same case with placements. They are readily available at any time for any kind of queries most of the time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is a lot of job opportunity in the food sector. Food engineers get a good salary and the job is always an office job not like a civil engineering field job. You can become a food inspector too. In m.tech here, students are very low in about 25 only, Including 5 different food branches. The faculty is not good enough. Student and faculty ratio is 2:1 to 3:1 Here many lecturers are seniors having more than 1 research. Some teachers do not hold a Dr. Title as they only have a master's degree. Teaching is quite bad here. Exams are always delayed from the expected/ scheduled time in the academic calendar. Exams are not hard to pass.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fee concession is provided to poor students up to 40% from every state. Christians get an 80% concession for just being Christian. Fee scholarship is provided by the government. For UP students full refund will be provided by the government. For PhD, you get a stipend, and job assistance is so bad here. You have to find a job by yourself but you are the teacher's favourite then it's a plus point, the teacher will assist you and even refer you to a job

● Top Answer By Shreya Hazra on 27 Sept 21

Ans. One of my friends graduated from Pondicherry University and having read a few online reviews regarding this topic, I would suggest some things.  To crack this entrance test you need to plan well to score good marks. Cover the basics from grade 11 and 12 NCERT Biology and Chemistry.  You can refer to the previous years’ question papers. Try to read all the theories behind those questions.  Revising thoroughly will help score good marks. Securing a seat in Central University requires preparation strategically. So if you want to clear the Pondicherry university entrance exam just prepare according to the syllabus. Thorough preparation for a month will make things easier.Read more
