About HNBGU
HNBGU is a central university of Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The university offers UG, PG, UG Diploma, PG Diploma and Research Programmes under several disciplines. HNBGU has 11 schools under various domains.
HNBGU has three campuses, Birla Chauras Campus (BCC), B. Gopal Reddy (BGR) Campus, Pauri and Swami Ram Teerth (SRT) Campus. The university has 121 colleges and institutions under its affiliations spreading over seven districts of Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
Established in 1973, with the guidance of the highly qualified, expert faculty members and ability of enthusiastic students the university has bagged Grade 'A' by NAAC and approvals of PCI, UGC and AICTE.

HNBGU Admission Process 2024

HNBGU Scholarship
- Merit Scholarship to B.Ed. Students: This scholarship is provided to the six students who have scored the top positions in the entrance examination conducted by the University for admission to a B.Ed program, and are granted a monthly Scholarship of INR 200.
- Merit Scholarship to BPL Students: This Scholarship is given to the students who belong to BPL category and worth INR 1500 per month is granted for ten academically talented students of the University.
- Shri Kalyaneshwar Temple Scholarship: This is for the meritorious and economically backward class students of both UG and PG Courses.
- Smt. Shanti Devi Shaligram Bhatt Scholarship: This aid is granted for the three students of the University every year. Two of these Scholarships are for the students of UG or PG curriculums and one fellowship is given to the student of Mass Communication who have scored 60% and 50% marks respectively in the previous examination and the annual family income of the applicant's should be INR 60,000 per annum.

- Central Library: HNBGU has libraries in all three campuses and are well equipped with books and research journals. There are different sections like Acquisition, Text-Book, Circulation, etc. Each library has a strength to hold about 1.30 lakhs books approximately in all the three campuses.
- Computer Centre: The computer centres are set up by the financial aid from UGC in all the three campuses of the university. Students have 24*7 access to the computer facility on the campus.
- Hostels: University provides hostel facilities for boys and girls both . University has proper hostel amenities with 1-Seater, 2-Seater, 3- Seater and 4-Seater rooms provided to students. University also has a Guest House facility for the people coming for research.

Admission process is simple, firstly you need to apply for the course you love to do aftermath you need to be in the merit list of the particular subject you applied for and at last if you got your name in the list you should visit the college and complete the remaining process under the guidance of your subject teacher

The eligibility for the MBBS curriculum is decided by the NEET-UG score of the student after which the counselling process begins. NEET-UG is carried out by tye NTA and the application forms and dates for counselling process are declared by the NMC after the results for NEET are declared. Reservation benefites are given to the SC, ST, OBC, EWS,etc. The NEET -UG is held every year in the month of May from 2-5pm.

Eligibility is determined by the NEET-UG score of students. As our college is located in the capital city Dehradun, its cutoff is slightly higher than other colleges located in the state (Uttarakhand). The whole application process including the forms, dates, application fees, etc. is decided by the NMC at the national level and Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical University (HNBUMU) at the state level. Reservation seats are available for the SC, ST, OBS, EWS, etc. The NEET-UG is conducted every year in May and the results are declared by June after which the counselling process begins. The counseling process allows the students to choose the colleges they prefer. After the councelling results, the students complete the admission processs by submitting their documents and other required details at the colleges allotted to them. There are various rounds of counseling in which the students and can apply for college allotment.

Admission process is so simple. Eligibility 12 pass . You can find application form on college site and you also takes direct admission ,application fee structure -10500 No reservation benifits. Examination dates fluctuate some time because this college is affiliate with central government college.

- Campus of the college is very beautiful and approx all type of facilities available like gum, library, sports activities. Faculties are good.
- Hostels are also available in tha campus, and a single hostel is allotted to 1 st yr juniors.

- Sometimes there is problem of electricity so sometimes it's difficult to manage in summer
- In the hostel electric appliances are not allowed so sometimes it's a challenging point

Cut off of the college is around 8-9k rank in general AIQ in first round or state Quata you cam get college in around 25k rank in general in last rost. But this year cif off will be very high according to marks . Admission process is easy staff is very helpful.

The admission counseling team was quite experienced and they explained the detailed fee structure along with other charges including taxes. Application forms are available on the college website. Admission in some of the courses is made through an admission test conducted by the university while the admission in the others is done by a personal counselling arranged by the university authority. You must have done 10+2 with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical subject as third subject. The candidate must have combined aggregate minimum of 45% marks in these subjects. Thereafter, they have to fill out the HNBGU application form on the official website of the university
The Admission is based on an entrance test that is CUET. A candidate shall have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects individually OR Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.
